$59k Base Dual-Motor AWD Cybertruck Begin Delivery!

OK, thanks. So now we know that Cybertruck versions are coded in VIN digits 6, 7, and 8 as follows:

GEC = RWD single-motor
HED = AWD dual-motor (both Standard and Premium)
HEE = Cyberbeast tri-motor

The T in digit 10 means the 2026 model year (R = 2024, S = 2025). My wild guess is that it changes to U for 2027.

Also, for the record:

- VIN digits 1 to 5 are 7G2CE for all known Cybertrucks (= Cybertruck made by Tesla)
- VIN digit 11 is A for all known Cybertrucks (= made in Austin)

So if you know the model year and # of motors on a Cybertruck, you automatically know 10 of the 17 VIN digits. Only 7 of the 17 VIN digits are specific to a given vehicle:

- VIN digits 12 to 17 (serial number)
- VIN digit 9 (check digit)

It arrived with the message to do the pre-delivery tasks.

I ordered it on Feb 19th at night. No upgrades.

My wild guess was wrong. Apparently there is a rule that manufacturers don't use certain characters for model year identification, and one of those characters is "U'. So the 2027 model year should skip ahead to "V".

I may have one of the last orders, Feb 28 RN127210. I would have ordered on the first day but thought no way would the boss (my wife) ok it. To my surprise when I mentioned it the last day of the window she said without hesitation “Get it”. And on top of that she insisted I add the 20” rims. Go figure.

His response:
“The only thing I’ve heard is that our sales team is expecting a display version of the SAWD CyberTruck next month. More details on delivery timelines should be coming soon.”

They have a SC in Tulsa and OKC but for whatever reason I always get 2 choices, Kansas and STL. Fly out the previous day and make a trip out of it. The last 3 pickups were from STL and so I know most of team there and they are very helpful when I tell I am coming.

Re-looking at the specs, this seems like a deal at 59k. I reserved on the 2/27 (RN127212xxx) just in case. I'd like to see some delivery reviews with real customers. Looking forward to it.

I did the same, with a similar but earlier RN. Nothing in my account yet. But it sounds like only about 20K sold in the first few days, so when production hits full ramp, they should easily knock that out in a month or two. It woudl be awesome if I could get mine before the last full week in June, as I have to take a 10 hour trip to boy scout camp, and it would be awesome to take the CT!
