Yeah. Depends on the tech. Some of them are completely non-observant and you could probably transplant an ICE in the frunk without them noticing.
Either way, if your glass cracks you can just climb up in the bed and pull off the ppf before you bring it in.
They have no way to know that.
Pulling the ppf off the entirety of my first truck took less than 15 minutes.

I haven’t used this stuff but the inside tint on my glass roof was a game changer for me in Arizona.

I think the 2026 Models have a more sun resistant coating on the glass roof. I've driven in 100 degree weather this year and nether me nor my passengers had any issue with the glass roof.

I applied this in my MY Juniper before my Cybertruck and love the results!

The whole process took about 1hour and it helped that I’ve worked with PPF before so o had a sense for what the material was going to going to do.

There’s a noticeable temperature decrease in the cabin while driving around and my son loves being able to look out anytime. It’s nice not having a cover up there during the Florida summer.

The PPF protection is the cherry on top that makes this a must buy for any future Tesla of mine!

Does it inhibit starlink?

I do not know about the tint + starlink but can report my 2026 CT factory glass blocks starlink.

Had to opt for an exterior mount.

Sharing this here as I suspect newer build CTs may find the issue of this tint blocking starlink moot if the roof itself from the factory does not play well with the signal.

Oops sorry I missed this. I have a cybertruck in the shop for a full build and we'll be installing the roof PPF on it and installing Starlink Mini so I can report back to see if it messes with anything and report back. Don't want to say anything without 100% certainty. Stay tuned.
