While I think Tesla screwed us, I don't think there's a chance in hell we'll get it. As for the question about does the loan have to be paid off in order to transfer, I don't interpret it that way considering the key word is delinquent.
"The transferring vehicle cannot be the subject of a pending cancelation or buyback request or have any delinquent liens or balances."
If the lawyers meant any loan balance, why use the term delinquent? I can't think of a delinquent lien that didn't have a balance.
Would matter anyway at this point, this is just for reference.
