Wondering if someone might have some ideas regarding Tesla being on the hook for range extender orders in the future. The problem - if I get the truck, and no RE is ever executed, the vehicle will not meet my needs. Even worse - if they don't deliver on REs and instead offer a longer range...
Ok, finally got the chance to order today and placed an order for dual motor FS CT! I was convinced that I would have bought a Rivian by now, after a ton of deliberation. Finally went to test drive an R1T, and was disappointed with the cabin space. Headed home from the test drive - and I see...
Wishing farewell to you all, as I am done with the CT concept and have moved on to a Rivian truck. Tried and true, 410 miles of range, 3.5 second 0-60, looks like a truck, and I get it in two weeks for less than the next best available CT. Disappointed with what was promised and what is now...
So - reservation in the 3k level, Northern CA area, and I have not received any sort of email from Tesla since I placed the reservation. No emails re: $1k discount for another vehicle, and nothing about a configuration. Called Tesla, and wasted alot of time with no explanation. Anyone else in...
I have a reservation at mid 3k and wondering if there is interest in a swap for a Foundation res? I’m sure there are folks out there wanting a dual motor at a lower price with the tax credit…. Not sure if it’s possible, but I’m in if interested. Nor Cal buyer here.
Ok, so taking the federal tax credit into account, I'm seeing the cyberbeast as costing about $30k more than the dual motor ($20k + $7.5k credit + state tax differential). And - my read is that you get a truck that does 0-60 in 1.5 seconds faster, but loses 20 miles of range comparatively...
I have to say - this dude @cvalue13 has had the best predictions for the last several months. Range is as stated - and use cases supported (extension in bed is a valid use case), and variants are as predicted. Great job with the insider info and getting folks like me ready for the release...
Cybertruck delivery event during the week of Cyber Monday. Think this timing was delayed...or that the CT is behind schedule from indications earlier this year? TSLA brilliant minds at work...gives me confidence that tomorrow will truly be "next level"!!!
Nice to see this vehicle finally within reach / coming off the line. Looks like a truck and works like a truck...and available now. If CT only makes a 350 mile truck available early - will you still opt for that over a more capable Rivian that actually looks cool?
Thinking I would still opt...
Been thinking about the economics of electric trucks as I contemplate executing on my early reservation. Financials don't seem to make sense to me... With a typical battery replacement cost of $15-20k on a model S today, what will it cost for a cybertruck battery twice the size? Let's say it...
Wondering how much the looming UAW strike might be playing into the dragged out release details on Cybertruck? Big product launch...thinking that if I was making decisions on pricing and rollout, a small detail like having Ford, GM, and Stellantis workers in a bitter strike might be a factor...
Early reservation holder here, looking to monetize my vehicle as a rental, but don't want to manage it myself. Thinking through Turo, but willing to give a cut to someone with experience in professionally managing this kind of service. Any leads? Ideas of $$ to expect for the rental and then...
Ok, so now that I've seen a post about the cyber being released at the beginning of 2023...and I'm about #3k in line...I'm realizing that the truck is going to be delivered to me too soon / much earlier than expected :). With that in mind, I'm willing to rent out my vehicle (expect it to be the...
