Yes I believe you can, or have a electrician hook it up. But Tesla states it has to be installed by a certified Tesla electrician, because in my case, they have to follow certain guide lines and then I received an update on my screen to turn on PowerShare after they submitted it after 2 days.

Had Apex mechanical installed my PowerShare today through Qmerit in Washington today, it was there first one ? they have done and they say they have 30 to do, everyone waiting on chargers or gateways. I hate being a Ginny ? but it wrked out fine. They did a clean instal!

I ordered June 20th received my charger a week later and received my gateway on the 31st of Jul. Installing everything on the 19th
