Tesla has access to literally millions of data points with respect to keeping batteries healthy. If they say 80%, that's what I'm doing. Unless you are going on a trip or something. We keep our cars at 80%. Battery degradation IS a thing. But following Tesla recommendations has never...
Hi, my understanding is that this feature needs to be turned on in the driver profile. I know that at least for my first demo drive, there wasn't really a profile, so I would have needed to go in, update the profile to activate the auto-shift-out-of-park feature. The wife has a drive this week...
Last I checked, the service center can only push the update assigned to your car. Not a newer more recent build. This is due to lack of testing, fsd validation being incomplete or the update not being compatible with the vehicle. HW3 vs HW4 etc.
This basically makes it so SCs can't update...
I live less than 3m from a delivery center (the service center got moved to another location).
There was maybe 2m total that the demo drive consists of (probably closer to a mile and a half). They are definitely trying to get as many people a chance to drive one as possible.
If I compare it...
Hi!
The icon that you are seeing is the progress bar for camera calibration. Once the cameras are calibrated, they can be used for Traffic Aware Cruise Control and Full Self Driving (once it gets released) along with other features.
Other posters are correct in that driving on straight...
Are you all using an "Easy Entry" profile? The settings could be getting picked up from that? At least that has happened to me in our '21 M3LR until I changed the profile settings.
Could be a bug too though.
This is why I love this forum.
It looks like Tesla is getting their arms around the problem. Being an early adopter has its hiccups.
Thanks for sharing your experiences. I'm right behind you and get my truck this month.
I know that Tesla's route planning software factors in elevation change when planning charging locations, so I know that the data is there. If I had to guess, this is not something that the vehicle measures directly which would mean it would need to come from GIS data that is being used.
I...
Not gonna lie. I'm downloading for a wallpaper or Microsoft Teams bakcground.
People have all kinds of interesting things to say when they see one.
Wonderful pics! Thank you for sharing!
Took my first test drive 2 days ago. I take delivery soon. I was giggling like a school girl before I got out of the parking lot. I wasn't like that because I was just excited to be "in a CT". The steering response is UNREAL. Feeling the entire 6800lb vehicle pivot from the front AND back...
As someone who also lives in California (northern), I am a bit surprised that you don't see a need. My understanding is that the installation comes with a Tesla wall connector (level 2 charger) with the Gateway as well. Having the Gateway installed is what allows Tesla Power Walls and other...
I'm guessing you used the on board navigation to plan charging stops?
There is definitely an advantage to letting the Nav Computer plan the route because it will make sure that the battery is preconditioned at the right times, which will give you faster charging when you arrive. Also the nav...
