True with the current, half-size, poorly aligned setup. However, once I have all four panels and align them properly it'll only take about 4 hours. I think I am back to dialing back the rate. Will try to quantify how much parasitic load the truck actually presents when charging versus fully...
Inside the truck it said 8mph on the charge rate if that is what you are asking. I had to dial the current down to 15A to keep it below the 3800W limit of the power station.
With my two panels 30degs off from the perpendicular, I was getting 350W - which is about 1mph per my driving style. Optimally aligned, that number should double.
Also, it was about an inch too wide to fit horizontally under the tent along side the panels.
I did some more testing today - particularly wanted to see if the "System Switch Recovery" setting would work as desired. Short Version: It works; but not as desired. Hopefully a future firmware update will enhance it.
Today, I just set up the two panels on the tonneau. In summertime, this...
Agreed. The solar panels are not cheap in terms of $/W even with the Black Friday sale but I do like the form factor. I have some homemade "portable" panels I made from roof mount panels and those are a struggle to move around. The Bluetti are really easy to carry two at a time and seem...
No doubt, solar is not the cheapest option. I just can't bring myself to run a generator at my campsite, though. I'll pay the difference to only hear nature and the crackle of the fire pit.
Good point. I'll see if I can minimize that. Thing is, I am away from camp most of the day so won't be around to restart the charge if the power station shuts down when it depletes. However, I just learned in this video at time 8:43 that there is an advanced feature I didn't know about that...
Took advantage of a Black Friday sale on a 2.8kWh power station and solar panels to trickle charge the CT while on extended hunts. With four panels I can charge at about 4mi/hr which should allow me to get back home w/o having to stop.

If you are trying to decide one versus the other, I can help there. The only difference between the two is what is printed on the outside.
It does appear to be a legit sale.
No apology needed - some necro-posts (such as this) are good (versus starting a new thread and losing history). Was your compressor as loose as the OP?
Yup. However, although I never buy a warranty, I always ask how much it cost and that is a key factor in what I buy. If the warranty is cheap relative to the cost of the product, you can be confident it is well made.
Also likely right on it being better. My 2011 Nissan Leaf is showing no...
Sounds right. I went out to turn off my wifi and thought I was too late but it was just 2025.38.8 ready for install. Going to go ahead and grab that one.
Yup. This is a big problem - even with FSDU. Good news is, this means I am no longer impatiently waiting for the update. I don't see anything in the videos that looks better than my current FSD experience. I will be holding out as long as possible. In fact I am heading out to clear my wifi entry.
I don't know who is the bigger fool - those who spout nonsense or those who listen to it. I try not to do either. (Not always successfully, mind you, but I try.)
I just ordered this device - eKyro smart Garage Door Opener. It requires no monthly subscriptions and according to the online documentation can be used in a geofencing mode to automatically open/close the door when you leave/return (with the, also free, SmartLife App). Has anyone here tried...
There are some attachment points under the cantrail that would allow for a cleaner, less obtrusive install. I wonder if the fix requires the new cantrail. My beast cantrail fits pretty nicely and I've seen some horror stories with the new one so I am holding out on that until I see signs of...
