    EVs are dead

The Hindenburg explosion wasn't about the hydrogen, it was about the metallic dope they put on the fabric. No, once it started the hydrogen didn't help, but it wasn't the cause. Just as a ICE car contains flammable materials, but they don't spontaneously combust. There are more than enough...

    CyberTape

$7.98 on Amazon. Gotta get one too.

    Anyone DIY wrap their Cybertruck?

Depends! If you ran him over with the CT, he’s probably flat enough to be unnoticed.

    EVs are dead

Elon has said there is no future in Hydrogen. It does have some benefits. It can be produced at the service station, shipping is not required. It is a very rapid refill, just like your ICE car. The tanks in your car where it is stored can be every bit as safe as your gas tank, even more...

Cybertruck is almost sold out for 2024. Reservation conversion rate very encouraging (per Q4 2023 earnings call)

I went to Camarillo end of last week. Asked questions of the sales rep there about the CT progress and my M3+ order... She tried to sell me on moving to a MY?!?!? Told me how much easier it is to get in and out of the Y... I tried to explain I drive a Porsche, I have no trouble getting in and...

Cybertruck is almost sold out for 2024. Reservation conversion rate very encouraging (per Q4 2023 earnings call)

Well, I take it you aren't a well read investor. Those earnings calls have rules (along with almost everything the leadership says) that are subject to SEC review. Running a publicly traded company means there are things you CAN say, and things you CAN'T. One of the things on the naughty list is...

Only limited edition $99k/$120k Foundation Series Cybertruck’s for 2024?

Bait and switch? Huh??? First, it was 4 years and a couple days between the announcement and the first deliveries. If you ordered first day, you'll probably have a chance before the 5th year. Second, did you hear the earnings call comment? They could be selling them for MUCH more, but "it...

In 4 years how much more value will the Foundation Series have over normal?

It's like every other product out there. Houses, stocks, beanie baby dolls... A MX or MS owner that paid that price has had all this time to enjoy the car. They paid what they paid, and unless they try to sell it, the current pricing has NO impact on their lives. "But if they had just waited..."...

In 4 years how much more value will the Foundation Series have over normal?

This assumes that there is no change in the FS until the CT launches. Based on Tesla's track record, serial #001 won't have all the tweaks that serial #100 will have, or 200, or 1000, or 3000, or... The later FSs MAY be more valuable than the earlies. Only time and the fickle market will tell.

How many are buying CT that DONT actually NEED a truck?

I’m moving from a 2 seat convertible sports car. Never owned a truck. Never owned an American made car. Unfortunately, the CT won’t be my first American car, I’m getting a M3 while I wait for the CT. I want the Cyber, the truck part is just part of the package.

Cybertruck is almost sold out for 2024. Reservation conversion rate very encouraging (per Q4 2023 earnings call)

I’m rounding up uninvested and underinvested dollars to buy right now. Based on what evidence? Well, I hate to say it (ok, not really), but it is called an “earnings call” and not a “product release call”. So those that are involved in investing in TSLA I’m sure heard most of what they...

Cybertruck is almost sold out for 2024. Reservation conversion rate very encouraging (per Q4 2023 earnings call)

IF this truly the most disappointing thing that has ever happened to you, then; 1.) You can't be all that old. Life sucks. Get used to it. 2.) You've never been married. 3.) You've never had kids. 4.) Your work life has been very sheltered. 5.) Your knowledge of politics is limited. 6.) You are...

    4680 Battery Chemistry Upgrade reference:

But that assumes that the 4680 is the restriction to a faster build rate. At this point in ramp up of both products, I don't think that is the case.

No reason to believe the Cybertruck shouldn’t perform as well.

So, would you all please clarify what I am assuming? It appears to me that when it is cold, the current models use the BMS and heat pump to manage the temps within the battery pack, cooling or heating as needed. Therefore, a fully conditioned heat pump equipped Tesla in frigid temps gets the...

No reason to believe the Cybertruck shouldn’t perform as well.

My wife says that the refrigerated section of Costco where they keep all the dairy is my "happy place". I turn on the A/C at 72. Must be a pilot thing @Callsign_Vega. Then again, I used to make my co-pilot put on a sweater in the summer when we flew.

    Cybertruck Towing Common Sense FAQ

Please help me understand. I put in the address of the SC at Santa Ysabel to the Ocotillo Wells RV park, AND back. If you leave the SC at 90%, without a trailer in a CT AWD, it will take you about 30% charge to do the round trip. If you assume a 50% loss with towing, then you would use 60% of...

Aftermarket 325 wide tires + 18" Method wheels installed on Cybertruck

This is always an option. These are run-flats, increase ground clearance, and improve highway gearing. AND there is very little rolling resistance!

Owner: tonneau bed cover is pretty water resistant and my consumption is 468 Wh/mi so far

While I don't know if it would be a good idea to replace the rear window with something that flexible, instead of all the ducting, just put an electric fan into the window. No ducting required, fresh air, works even when you are driving. reverse flow to bring in additional outside air while on...
