Getting an AWD with rebates is looking less and less likely for 2024. My FS invite from 12/24 is still active which suggests that they have not hit their target number for FS yet.
Tesla would be wise to pay some attention to the position and opinions of people on this thread, particularly those that are deciding to cancel their FS orders. We are among Teslas most ardent supporters. We are the exact demographic the FS is aimed at. For the good of this project they need to...
Ford has been king of truck sales for a reason. They understand what the buying public wants. Yes that includes the huge number of buyers that mainly use theirs as an SUV. The CT is just too much vehicle for most buyers just like a Raptor. Don’t get me wrong, I love the Raptor, gas mileage...
CT range limitations mean it is nearly useless for long range towing of larger trailers, boats etc.. It is still just fine for around town towing.
IMHO the likely 250 + or - 20 miles between charges is probably adequate for long distance travel in areas with good numbers of superchargers. Not...
This forum is beginning to sound like a congressional subcommittee. These discussions are unhinged from reality. The CT is an incredible vehicle but it is a wide miss on the issues of affordability, work utility, range etc.. The sale of millions was predicated on function and affordability. The...
I really like the CT and will probably buy one in the regular series, although it goes against my better judgement and I have not made a final decision. Already turned down the FS.
The painfully slow trickle of information over the past couple of months has been mainly disappointments. If real...
If these early unscientific estimates of real world CT range are largely true the CT may only sell as many per year as the X and Y. Who in their right mind will spend 100K for a truck that is significantly range restricted? Only those that will use it as an in town status ride. Sure hope these...
I got the email and have decided to wait for exactly these reasons. I also hope the nonfoundation units will come with road tires as the standard option For better range. Buying FSD when it is unclear if and when it will be fully functional does not appeal to me.
After sleeping on it I will pass on the FS. If I really need to spend an extra 20K it will be for other things that will give me more pleasure like helping out less fortunate members of my family. The yucks of my new toy will wear off real fast when confronted with the financial realities faced...
Got an email too. Bittersweet. I am really ambivalent. I have a hard time convincing myself that the FS AWD is worth 100K but with regular orders put off until ???? I am tempted.
The bumps twists and turns of CT development has been fun to follow for 4 years but this rollout has been...
If Tesla can sell the first years production as all foundation series they almost certainly will. The only motivation the company would have to drop prices and sell the regular series would be exhaustion of the pool of FS buyers. A slower the production ramp than expected would also nudge the...
The primary reason to wrap is cosmetics. It will not protect steel. It will also look less dirty than steel will with water spots fingerprints etc… Nightmare if you must have a tidy looking ride.
