JUST SAY NO!
If you were planning to get a beast and spending $100k anyway, please go ahead and get what you want now!

I got the invite, but that's not what I signed up for.

Tesla needs to see that people will not play this game - especially after already waiting 4 years!

The sooner people stop going for FS, the sooner Tesla will send out invites for normal AWD configurations.

I didn’t listen to my wife, why the af would I listen to you??

jk. Wifey is stoked for the FS AWD.

Seriously though, how narcissistic do you have to be to demand others to stop ordering something that they want so that you can only get something you were invited to order but want cheaper?

SMDH

oh and thanks for granting me your permission to order the Beast right now. I’d been holding off just pining away for your approval.

I completely agree! I received a FS invite, considered it, then decided not to. If you have the $$$ go for it. I’m not paying an extra $20k for an already $20k overpriced truck that doesn’t have 500 miles of range.

I'm not demanding, I'm asking. Like I said, if you want it - go for it!!

... but if you are on the fence, and view this as overpaying for priority delivery (which is how every other legacy auto manufacturer handles special vehicles) it's in everyone else's best interest that you pass.

I don't even think OP's logic is anything but speculation that Tesla is going to keep allowing Foundation Series orders until they run through the 2 million+ reservations and people stop ordering.

I personally don't think this is the case and actually hope it's the opposite where we want people to order FS as quick as possible so we hit Tesla's max quantity and standard orders open.

You may be right ... there just doesn't seem to be any proof of an actual limit to the number they will make.
The fact that over 200 have been confirmed on this site alone, worries me it's way more than 1000 though.

If Tesla can sell the first years production as all foundation series they almost certainly will. The only motivation the company would have to drop prices and sell the regular series would be exhaustion of the pool of FS buyers. A slower the production ramp than expected would also nudge the needle in the direction of continuing the FS longer. None of us want that but logic and past history says……. Tesla is an auto company no different than the others when it comes to business practices.

Your logic is correct, but with the Cybertruck's popularity, 140k is nothing for the crowd that has been buying supercars and luxury cars. With only around 60k Trucks coming out of the factory next year. Tesla is gonna sell as many Cybertruck at the highest possible price for as long as possible. What you want is for those that can afford it to buy it as soon as possible so that Tesla runs out of people that can afford it at this price and they will have to ultimately lower the price to trigger more demand.

Someone has to pay for all of the super expensive production machinery needed to produce the Cybertruck. First adopters who purchase the $100k/$120k FE versions helps out with Tesla’s financials.

Every 10 Founders Edition AWD Cybertruck’s sold is $1M in revenue. If you viewed Mr. Monroe’s Cybertruck video you know what I am referring to.
