If they made a single cell that meets all their claimed specs it would be a game changer and every battery company in the world would be banging on their door. Production at scale will likely not be an issue if they've done what they claim.
While we are all skeptical about this announcement...
Amprius. They've been there before and won the CES Innovation award this year. They've progressed to 520Wh/kg cells which are used in high end drones, and they have a range 300-450Wh/kg cells as well...
Except Donut says they don't use lithium. Donut is also partnered with a capacitor company so that seems a more likely technology considering claimed cycle life and charge rates. Would be a massive breakthrough in capacitor energy density though. Ziroth comes to that conclusion:

Non EV counterparts to Model 3 and Model S from BMW weigh the same. Your premise is flawed at best. Plus the fact that passenger vehicles do proportionally little damage, a few hundred pounds either way won't matter.
