A Unionized Tesla Workforce Could Benefit All Parties

Thank you. I support unions, but this post bothered me for many of the reasons you clarified. I think stock is a good idea for the employees to have access to, but not in lieu of cash compensation. It seems that currently Tesla has an attractive compensation package, but to leave control over...

Any other pickups considered before reserving your CT?

Considering? Not really. I have two trucks that I will keep repairing until the CT becomes available. The F250 is easily as strong as most trucks on the road, and equivalent fuel economy to the current 15mpg of modern trucks, and the Dakota is comfortable on the freeway with a bit better fuel...

    Texas accessories for Cybertruck

Buy a medium to large 3D printer and make your own yoke adapter. I'm sure Tinkercad would love to host a clip on adapter.

    Starlink IPO

The irony/absurdity of a hood scoop on an electric vehicle just makes me giggle! I want to see this done.

Sandy's rant. lol. I love this man.

The point you make about the emergency vehicle collisions is valid. However, it is not what Monroe's point was about. Mr. Monroe is upset about the focus on Tesla being at fault when everything about these collisions, fires, and deaths are driver related, not the technology. Every last one of...

    Electric Conversions ?

I have been a stymied fan of EV conversions for over a decade... before Tesla!!! Regardless of the source, it will be much more up front expense than your maintenance costs. Still, if you love the car, the conversion is possible. I know nothing of the East coast, but there is a company in...

    Regular cab cybertruck

I've seen contractors use F-250+ with 6 seats probably with the highest trim level Ford offers but most work vehicles I see on the road are base level, one row of seats without anything fancy. They also tend to be over 10 years old needing a lot of TLC. I like being able to park in regular...

    CT2 vs CT3 Payload

Um, I think you are mixing your descriptions. "Unsprung" weight refers to the parts of the suspension, brakes, steering, and drive train not suspended on the springs and shock absorbers. Everything else, engine, transmission, passengers, body and frame, and payload are all sprung weight. As...

    CT2 vs CT3 Payload

Don't take me too seriously. I was too. Can you imagine trying to go as fast as you can down a 1/4 mile and thinking extra weight would be a good thing?!

    CT2 vs CT3 Payload

Look at the numbers again. I wasn't referring to a 1500 or 2500. The numbers are in pounds. 2000 pounds is one ton. 1500 pounds is 3/4 ton. 1000 pounds is 1/2 ton. So, yes, in the modern truck world 1500 pounds is still 3/4 ton even if a chevy 1500 may have a larger payload. It'll still...

    CT2 vs CT3 Payload

Concrete is only illegal if it is an unsecured load. The track officials hate oil spills from blown engines! I would hate to see their faces if you spread concrete and aggregate across their lane!

    CT2 vs CT3 Payload

Let me clarify 1000 pounds is 1/2 ton and 1500 pounds is 3/4 ton because 2000 pounds is 1 ton. This is not the same as a F150 or a D1500 or a Chevy 1500. I was just stating the pounds vs ton comparison.

    CT2 vs CT3 Payload

Good to know. I still wouldn't buy a new truck for these prices when I have never seen a newer version haul as much as mine with their short beds, pretty paint jobs, and jacked up suspensions. I see a lot more trailers though.

    CT2 vs CT3 Payload

Yes. but I would let someone wealthier than me test those limitations. I can see nothing worse than blowing an air bag, collateral damages, and having to unload over two tons of material on the side of the road just so the tow vehicle can take your CT1 to a repair center.

    CT2 vs CT3 Payload

    1500 is 3/4 ton. 1000 is 1/2 ton.

    CT2 vs CT3 Payload

otor but close. The largest difference should be between CT2 and CT3 since there is an additional motor (which may be the new fancy light motor used in S plaid) and more significantly additional batteries. There is 900 Ib of difference between Y long range and Y dual motor so I am thinking...

    CT2 vs CT3 Payload

My opinion is based on experience with overloading my trucks and the unfortunate results shown when my mechanic friends showed me what happens when you overload the wrong axles (the load pinch/cuts the axle in half). This has nothing to do with engine (or motor in an EV) or transmission. It...

    Regular cab cybertruck

Thank you. With many of the other commenters, I questioned my sanity. Not that the last frayed thread has much integrity remaining. I hide my man card when I say I don't like trailers. But, I do think I will be keeping my F250 for myself strictly for the 8' bed and the 12' overhead rack...
