Maybe not a rumble, does it sound more like a cyclical thing, like a frequency beat?. I just returned from my Tesla service call and they said that noise is normal and it originates from the gearbox, which is a bit dissappointing. He also offered to show the same symptom on another cybertruck...
You need more airflow for the 48->12V DC-DC converter. I would use velcro to the CT frunk (away from cooler) or for a more permanent install I would ~M5 self-tapping screws, they like this kind of plastic.
For a quick disconnect I used this waterproof connector for my 48V lightbar accessory...
I dove my Model Y to Prudhoe Bay and back using standard 18" tires and during the trip I lost a tire by driving almost ~1,000 miles on Dalton HWY. Basically 60% gravel+potholes, 40% asphalt road
I would like to do a similar trip on Dempster HWY, this time with Cybertruck.
Are the Cybertruck...
Thanks. Neat mode! Unfortunately the reset option is not available there.... :(
Maybe the 'reset' option appears only if there is something in need for reset, which is kind of silly if true.
My 48V Aux port stopped providing power. I checked the service manual and there is a 'reset' option but in my Cybertruck doesn't show up. Am I doing something wrong here?
There is no "Outlets under Controls" and there is no Reset under Outlets & Mods.
Help!
I managed to cleanly route a 110V 'flat extension cord" (and other RF cables) from the center console to the rear seats. The carpet or the rubber mats make it disappear. I have a 12V 35APSU under the rear seats, near my HF power amp. I also connected a 12V heavy-duty cigarette lighter wire...
I explored that capability (rooftop 48V) and I ended up making a nice install for my Starlink dishy mounted with 4 suction cups. The idea was to get t rid of the bulky Starlink WIFI router and the 110V power supply and have a small wifi+starlink+POE mounted on the glass rooftop. [email protected] was...
Like advanced PSUs, I wish they would do a little bit of spread spectrum pulsing to distribute the energy over a wider audible and sub-audible band, thus avoiding resonance.
Kids (like 6 year olds) are the most excited when they see Cybertruck. It's crazy.
In the order of "excitement':
1. Kids
2. Other truck drivers
3. Tesla drivers
In the order of 'I hate this":
1. Sports car drivers
2. A**holes
I lost power to my Auxiliar lightbar outlet, I probably tripped an e-fuse or something. What is the procedure to 'hard reset' the Cybertruck in the hope that the fault will be cleared? Holding down both buttons reboots but does not fix the issue. Thanks.
Thank you for explaining the cuts in the gerarbox. Any reason for this sound to be 'cyclical' rather than a continuous gear singing'? Just resonance, aka normal?
I also owned Teslas for 12 years and I am accustomed with different motor sounds but this one is different. Please search this forum for the word "modulated", that's my post, it includes a recording...
With my Cybertruck, I noticed that the repetitive sound is 'in sync' with each wheel...
It is from a left over peel-off protective film! :) I suggest removing it soon, as they tend to harden from the UV light and then they will be difficult or impossible to remove!
Yes, strange. If from Sun exposure, it should be on both buttons!. My guess is that the adhesive reacted with the paint layer.
Or it was always like that and I didn't notice. :)
That's strange. I just noticed it today. The other 3 buttons are perfect (100% black).
Black mask paint being dissolved by the adhesive?
[SOLVED!] -- it was a peel-off protective film -- needs to be removed.
