I am very interested in a PV system and was quoted panels with micro inverters. The single most important issue to me was; “I was told that I would not have power if the grid was down”. That in itself killed the deal. I want power if/when the grid fails. I want to be responsible for my own power...
Thank you, my power company offers and I currently use the reduced TOU rate. Monthly average is at .18 per kWh? I’ve not researched others to see how my rate compares.
Interesting discussion but it seems a bit dated as he states at least twice “In 2020”? Locally, I’ve watched coal fired power plants shut down without a sustainable solution to replace that energy. I’ve watched population growth across the states? Recently issues in Texas basically shut down the...
Maybe this is the place for my thoughts; Speaking in terms of Grid reliability and those cost associated with failure as seen most recently in Texas. What if; assume for a second that ICE vehicles give way to the battery powered vehicles in the future. What happens to the Grid when everybody...
I’m old enough to remember the first “McQuter”, that’s right people couldn’t get the name right. Then the cellphone, or Bagphone, whatever, tube type tv’s, and bulky cameras that required a visit to the local shop to get your film developed. FSD, He’ll Yea!!! I’m all in and hope I live long...
When will it hit the US market? Will it be affordable? Us folks out in the wild blue yonder need high speed data at affordable prices. Thanks Elon fer fixin’ all the stuff that ales us.
Does anyone else’s brain hurt after reading all these post? It just need to work, we all don’t need to know how it works. Where’s my CT at, if I whistle real loud can it come to me?
Signature version?
call me weird whatever, I want Elon to personally sign my CT, “To Pappy, enjoy the hell outta this truck cause it’ll be the last truck you’ll ever need”
Not for me, But.... what about our “Wounded Warriors”. Wheelchair access? Maybe up the tailgate into the driver compartment? Wheelchair storage? Hand control rather than foot controls. Other ideas, anyone? Course all would be options but may be great to incorporate into the original design.
Ohhh... but the operating costs start increasing dramatically right about that mileage. Injectors, turbos, starters, fuel pumps all begin to fail right about then. I had to let my last Ford go simply because of operating cost, I couldn’t afford to keep that truck any longer.
I’ll take my $7500 and stand proud when I do. I NEED that CT to reduce my operating cost of owning a vehicle to haul firewood, water and trash. I know about 90% of the people on this post don’t have to do that, but I do. I’m retired, I paid taxes all my life, and I’m good with that until... I...
I’m sure there is one question that will have to be answered no matter the location, just how many Super Chargers are available? I know of one in Silverton but there could be more.
