I have the same issue - thanks for posting!
Any chance of in situ pics of the strip you added? I'd like to copy your approach.
Edit: sorry, I'm probably misunderstanding: is the strip on the outside? Or did you install it from the inside of that gap?
I've been able to lock the rear screen for at least a year, when my dog started turning the music volume up and down back there. Took me awhile to determine my truck wasn't possessed...
What do the new controls allow?
Very interesting.
Mines been going under the speed limit on all profiles for several versions now.
The problem is exacerbated by the truck's inability to read speed limit signs: it reads a 60 sign as 30 and then goes 27. My neighbors don't like me as much anymore...
You're lucky.
If I could downgrade to 13 I would, just for the max speed control.
Speed profiles have taken all the magic out of FSD for me, because I constantly have to apply the go pedal or disengage.
I've experienced quite a few regressions lately:
Navigation - the weakest part of FSD - has gotten even worse. My truck has given up even trying to get into a left turning lane, and now just cruises past them without even signaling to move over to the correct lane. It used to switch lanes...
Yup - exactly how mine behaves, except I don't get a reprieve on the freeway: it never reaches the speed limit (which it usually gets wrong anyway) in any mode.
I really miss speed control - I used to love FSD. Now it's just a continuous speed battle with constant pedal use and tons of...
I wish mine would reach the speed limit without having to apply the go pedal - regardless of speed profile mine never hits the speed limit unless I provide some encouragement.
More generally, speed profiles are a huge regression: they have an unmet dependency on the vehicle being able to...
I didn't see it in the release notes but noticed the "new feature" blue dot in the truck icon at the bottom of the truck's screen and then saw it in the audio settings. It was already on.
I haven't noticed any effect at all - my truck makes sort of a wind sound towards the driver's side I was...
I'm in Edmonton. It gets to -40C here (which I think is about -40F too). A neighbor leaves his Cybertruck out year round without issue.
Mine lives in a heated garage, but I've taken it on multiple ski trips in -20C where it's been outside for days, without issue. Range drops by about 25 miles...
Some regressions I've noticed in FSD 14.2.2.5:
The truck attempted several passes on the highway only to abort the pass at the last second and pull back behind the vehicle it was trying to pass. This happens several times during a road trip yesterday. Anyone else experiencing this?
Speed...
It seems to me your claimed damages are that you bought a truck you otherwise would not have.
What efforts have you made to return the truck to Tesla? What was Tesla's response when you attempted to return the truck?
It will be helpful in fully understanding the situation if you share the...
Definitely interested - I'm in Edmonton where the streets are covered in snow and mud 6 months of the year and the rear camera lasts about 2 blocks before getting blocked.
Not sure I can see the standoff clearly, but is there a gap between the truck and the plate? Any aero effect (does it...
Also interested in the original question: how easy is it to remove?
And is any change to the appearance or shade of the stainless steel anticipated post application?
** Edit ** it's clear from the video (as someone else pointed out) that the driver engaged the go pedal and that FSD was not driving towards the pedestrian without the driver's encouragement (looks like the pedal was pushed in nearly 25% of the way).
The OP (who seems legit to me, considering...
