  1. Recall: exterior trim / body panel detaching issue (46,096 Cybertrucks affected)

    1% of ~50,000 is ~500, not 5,000...about 349 failures to go...
  2. Does everyone’s windshield wiper suck?

Thanks. I've since gotten the update, and I agree that it's much improved. It's not perfect - my wiper seems to lack sufficient pressure against the windshield near the end of the blade, so it still streaks a little bit, but not nearly as much. Having the spray come out on the down cycle makes a...
  3. Front plastic piece below frunk broke off

Have you noticed any impact to range without them?
  4. Playing movies from USB thumb drive? 🎥

Try loading the audiobooks on your phone and stream them to the truck via Bluetooth (I do this to listen to podcasts, though I don't download them locally - I just stream them). Or upload them to a free Google Drive account and navigate to that via the truck's browser. Plugging a USB into a...
  5. Powershare update: Home Backup enabled for Solar + Backup Switch

Great info - thank you! Is the 12 circuit limitation applicable to the number of circuits, or is it the load, which in your case happened to end up limiting you to those 12? I'm confused about the amount of power the truck can provide, because I've heard the battery pack described as equivalent...
  6. Powershare update: Home Backup enabled for Solar + Backup Switch

Very interested in this. I'm having the Universal Charger installed Wednesday in anticipation of later installing PowerShare. I have solar. As it was explained to me by my electrician, solar shuts off during an outage. I can have it set up so the PowerShare provides power to the solar panels and...
  7. Playing movies from USB thumb drive? 🎥

Or upload the movie to a cloud account and stream it through the browser? Haven't tried it, but should work.
  8. Manitoba Cybertruck

I'm a couple of provinces over, in Edmonton, Alberta - the truck has likewise performed well in the cold. We put the OEM winter tires on, and they're not bad. FSD doesn't seem to compensate for an icy, or snow covered, road the way a human would - I had it turn onto a snowy road and immediately...
  9. Interior and Exterior Mats - recommendations?

I have the Tesla all-weather mats (came with my FS AWD). They're great. I'm in Edmonton and the roads are covered in snow and mud 6 months each year. The mats have done their job keeping the mud and slush contained to their surfaces. I haven't tried taking them out and cleaning them yet, but...
  10. Front plastic piece below frunk broke off

My right front faring snapped off after FSD lost control on a snowy road before I could take over, and hit a snow bank (no harm done otherwise). The replacement part was $55 and the labor was $25.20 (those are Canadian dollars, so about $3.72 US...).
  11. 🔴 Levitating Cybertruck review YES or NO?

I learned any nearby metal of meaningful mass severely affects the ability to get it to levitate - I tried and failed for ten minutes before I realized that I was trying it beside a lamp with a metal base. I moved it away from the lamp, and placed it easily. It's quite the "thunk!" when it fails...
  12. Auto park hit a pole.

This consistently fails for me - always says something along the lines of "Error occurred". It's not a connection issue. Seems they don't want to hear from me...
  13. Does everyone’s windshield wiper suck?

Looks like Tesla will shortly release a solution - anyone have the update yet, and can report on its effectiveness? https://www.teslarati.com/tesla-upgrades-ridiculous-cybertruck-wiper-after-owners-report-issue/
  14. Hydrophobic Rear Camera Cover by Abstract Ocean - excellent!

When I look at the spray pattern of mud and moisture on the rear gate, it sure seems like a design flaw: it seems to aim right for the camera. I wonder if there's a way to prevent it by adding flaps under the bumper. I'll have to take some video to better understand exactly where it's being...
  15. Hydrophobic Rear Camera Cover by Abstract Ocean - excellent!

Some mixed reviews on this. I've ordered one to put to the test here in Edmonton. Will report back results.
  16. Texas Levitating Cybertruck is Now Available

I have one of these. If it's near something metal you'll have a hard time getting it to float. I was trying to set mine up and just could not get it to float - kept slamming down onto the base, with quite some force (very strong magnets!). I finally realized I was next to a bedside lamp with a...
  17. FSD - Winter Conditions

Is it possible to turn off regen on Cybertruck?
  18. FSD - Winter Conditions

I'm in Edmonton. Be very careful. Mine navigated onto a snow covered dirt road, accelerated way too quickly, and by the time I grabbed the wheel it was out of control - it happened very quickly. I hit a snow bank, which cost me a mud flap but otherwise doesn't appear to have damaged the truck...
  19. FSD 13.2.6 Review - "Good"

Yes, I'm in Canada and those numbers are km/h (I wish that was in mph!).
