  1. Beware construction zone speed limits

My CT rarely gets speed limits right. I'm in Canada. It sees "110" as "70" and then drives at 100. It sees "90" as "80". "50" as "30" and goes 57. Except with it thinks it's "20". I drove 3 hours on the highway and passed many 110 signs - dozens of them. It never got one correct. I'm working the...
  2. Android App Version - what's the deal with the releases?

For example, here's some dude deciding to veer in front of me on his bike at Terwillegar Park:
  3. Android App Version - what's the deal with the releases?

It has the sentry clip viewing, which I just tried - it's pretty cool, and allows you to export 30 second clips to Google Photos. App start up seems to be a little slower. No noticable increase in battery drain so far.
  4. FSD Initial Activation and Speed Control

Mine drops speed on FSD engagement inconsistently - maybe half the time. I keep the go pedal pressed for a few seconds and then slowly ease off it to see if it will slow, and that at least makes it less jerky. For me, it's a fairly recent development - didn't happen a few FSD versions ago.
  5. Android App Version - what's the deal with the releases?

Just checked for pending updates on my Pixel 9 Pro Fold and found it ready to be installed - doing so now. I'm in Canada.
  6. Manitoba Cybertruck

I was driving very slowly in the parking lot of a dog park yesterday when a guy on a mountain bike coming towards me on the left waited until I was almost beside him before veering directly in front of my truck and stopping. I think he wanted to startle me into slamming on the brakes. I took my...
  7. Navigation has no memory

Mine *never* gets my house right - it always wants to go to the gated community next door. I believe Tesla uses Google maps API for navigation, so I reported the map error to Google and eventually the pin for my house was move to my actual house, and shows as such in the Cybertruck navigation...
  8. Slight scratches from Ice.

If the depth of your clear coat is less than the thickness of the stainless steel (which it is, by some significant degree), then the number of corrections you'll be able to make on your FJ will reach the limit more quickly (unless, of course you apply more clear coat). In my experience, it...
  9. New FSD update anyone having problems?

This is an issue for me, too: where there are two left turn lanes, FSD will pick the right one to start the turn but will end up in the left one to finish the turn, and isn't at all shy to completely cut someone off in that lane.
  10. New FSD update anyone having problems?

I find I can apply gentle pressure to the wheel to get it back to the center of the lane - not enough to disengage FSD, but enough to gradually move the truck over. On mine, it's gotten a lot better than it used to be. When it does happen the visualization shows it driving over the line, so...
  11. Slight scratches from Ice.

I *really* scratched mine - was parked right up next to a pillar and didn't account for the rear wheel steering wheel I pulled out, and the back end swung out and scraped the pillar. It was horrifying - think it was day 3 of my ownership. Worst scraping sound I've heard. It left yellow paint...
  12. FSD for The Win! Goose is Spared....

Thanks for the suggestions. Just tried incognito and that failed in the same way. I'm traveling but will try to find a hosting site and then post a link.
  13. FSD for The Win! Goose is Spared....

I did! But I've never been able to successfully upload video to this site - just tried again: the upload goes to 100% and then I get "Oops - we ran into some problems!" Have tried on desktop and mobile. Don't know how you all manage to do it...
  14. Tesla App phone battery drain??

Mine is 1% drain with 4 min screen time and 15 hours 27 minutes background on Pixel 9 Pro Fold. PS version 4.43.1-3214
  15. FSD for The Win! Goose is Spared....

Had a similar experience with a herd of elk (I think) on the highway returning from Jasper a while back - I was ready to take over in an instant, and was sure FSD would try to take at least one out, but instead, it slowed, carefully navigated between two of them, and carried on. It was pretty...
  16. Interior and Exterior Mats - recommendations?

I took the Tesla all-weather mats out yesterday and cleaned them - they were very easy to clean - I hosed them down and scrubbed a few stubborn areas (I had a LOT of mud and dirt on them from our Edmonton winter and a few ski trips). They turned out nearly as new. Coverage is great, too - I...
  17. Does everyone’s windshield wiper suck?

I just returned from a trip to Jasper through a snow storm - white out conditions with lots of mud kicked up on my windshield. The spray update worked quite well - not perfect - the top section still features some streaks which appears to be a result of insufficient wiper blade pressure on the...
