In some cases there seems to be a mapping/destination location error and I'm not convinced it isn't a database issue. For instance, at a destination yesterday it wanted to park in a parking garage, but the destination didn't have one and it took me down an alley that had no parking in it and...
I've not had a safety critical disengagement in many months. Destination parking/behavior is often where I disengage most. I think there are lots of reasons why FSD struggles at the end of the trip and not all of it is strictly an issue with FSD.
What I am most impressed by is the ability to...
It's not a quality check, it's a diagnostic tool. If there is no measurable difference it implies the feature isn't active when expected. If only a small delta is observed then the issue is more likely how it is being implemented. At this point it appears to be the former.
I did have a quick look with an audio spectrum analyzer and see no difference with it activated vs de-activated. This aligns well with what I hear with it on or off. I plan a more in depth test when I have time.
This is true, but call ahead and make sure they allow it. Many rural RV capable campgrounds (the ones with useful plugs) flat out will not allow you to charge an EV. They won't listen to any explanations on limiting charging rates or safety. I have had two in the last month, while literally...
I use a similar generator for this purpose when boondocking with our trailer. Off a single 8 gallon tank I see about 10% range increase and estimated the end-to-end efficiency at about 4-5%. I think it is very optimistic to assume you will get ~60kWh on this setup with 17 gallons of fuel. I...
Be careful with this. I confronted a man for swerving and pretending to try to hit me with his truck recently. When I got out of the car and tried to take a picture of his license plate (I was pretty sure the dash cam wouldn't get it clearly) he assaulted me, shoving me against a wall and...
For the stock CT Wheels/tired I carry a plug kit and I have an air compressor in the lower bed storage area. I have had to use the plug kit once already.
When I am out in the sticks I run my 18" off-road wheels/tires where I bought a 5th exact copy in case I have a sidewall rip or similar...
I'm sorry you're experiencing this. I live in Idaho and get grief from both the left and the right here. It has been a tough journey, but I'm at almost 20,000 miles and love my truck so the haters can __ck right off.
That said, I find humor often disarms the biggest jerks. I have a vanity...
I went through the same thing on the previous release. Got super aggressive, even in chill mode and the steering wheel was doing this really weird twitch back and forth like the control loop for it was out of tune. Also was suddenly no longer able to keep its lane.
Seems better after this...
what is your SN Range? I wonder if the fact I roll in a custom drive setting with Beast acceleration and higher suspension height changes the amount of this I fell. My daily setting on Custom is: Beast, Higher (~10"), Focussed. I do this because I fell the truck handles a little better at the...
FWIW, I've left my Beast unattended in the Idaho backcountry many times without anyone messing with it. I've seen a few folks stop to check it out and take photos. But, It's been left at a trailhead for a week without harm here.
I have heard Kyle talk about this for a while but I'm not sure I notice it in my CB (SN ~15000). I have experienced this in front wheel drive cars before so I am familiar with the concept, but I'm wondering if there was some resolution the rolled in at some point to reduce this effect. Maybe...
Idaho:
80% negative
20% positive
Lots of fingers, lots of thumbs down. Diesel bros rev their engines all the time (LOL!)... Hate started with the rednecks when I got it in June, now it's also lefties in subarus. The tacoma driving outdoors guys are also aggressive haters since many are a...
My try motor is a May 2024 build and does not show in the recall. However, I had the exact same failure as Kyle at about 2000 miles. And under pretty much the same conditions. As far as I know, they only replaced the inverter that failed.
