Hang in there for a little longer. Elon is bashing the Big Bogus Bill. Reps turning on him. Dems could like him again soon. Try camouflage first.

Tell us you are not a fit parent, without telling us! This is an excellent teaching opportunity, use it to laugh at how silly some people are. Use it to teach your kids about how easily fooled some people are and how they don't want to be one of those gulible people, but to forge their own destiny. That they are in charge of who they are and what they believe.
What’s your problem?

Thinking of Selling My Cyberbeast – Need Some Advice

Hey everyone,

I’ve been a proud Cyberbeast owner since late August, and let me tell you—when I first got it, I absolutely loved it. Every time I got behind the wheel, it put a smile on my face. The performance, the design, the whole experience—it really lived up to the hype for me.

But lately, I’m struggling.

I commute into NYC from New Jersey for work, and the hate this truck gets here is honestly starting to wear me down. It’s not just dirty looks—I’ve had random people flip me off, walk up to my truck shouting at me, and just give off a ton of hostility. Normally, I’d brush it off, but my young kids are often in the car with me. Recently, they’ve started getting picked on at school because of it, and that’s where it crossed the line for me.

I never thought I’d say this, but I’m seriously considering selling it. I still love the truck, but I don’t think I can enjoy it anymore under these circumstances.

Has anyone gone through something similar? Do you know if Tesla would buy back the truck? Mine’s a Cyberbeast with around 4,000 miles on it. I realize I’ll probably take a loss, but at this point, I’m looking for peace of mind.

Any advice or insight would mean a lot. Thanks in advance
That stinks, I'm a fellow NJ guy but down in Monmouth County and did get one middle finger back in march (and my wife has had 2).....overall 90+% positive and kids around here love it....My oldest son (9) did say someone at his school said it looked ugly but I don't think that is a big deal (I call it a rolling dumpster sometimes as a joke)

They are becoming more common near me (I'm one of 3 doctors at the hospital I work at with one now) and the anti-tesla hate might die down now that musk is out of DC

All that said, I'm surprised you commute into NYC with a CT....a model Y would be easier to park and zip around

I don’t think the lashing out is going to stop anytime soon. The old VW bug motto is *slug bug*. For some the CT motto is to vent all their life’s misery at the CT driver.

OP, Tesla is accepting trade ins on FS trucks so eventually they will for non-fs. Trade in for a new Y isn’t a bad idea. We didn’t sign up to be an ideology punching bag.

Thank you so much that does make a lot of sense I was also considering wrapping to a dark or camo color so it won’t attract attention stupid people tend to like shiny things lol me included
I think the hate level is REALLY dying down no that most realize the were fed a narrative that was crafted, personally the number of middle fingers etc are down 90% over just a few months ago. I think it will continue to subside and if you sell the vehicle you will regret taking a loss on it, and giving up such a great truck.

That really sucks. The undeserved demonization of Musk by the left politicians and MSM has fueled the hate you are experiencing. I put a deposit on a Cybertruck 5 years ago and finally pulled the trigger and bought it in response to this backlash. I live in Texas where almost all of the feedback has been positive. Keep your truck and move away from the devil’s spawn.

Hate to hear it. I understand if you do sell it but I would wait. I doubt it’s gonna last long. Such a low IQ thing to do. Supposed to be the party of peace and love. Now they’re pro war and pro big pharma ?. Elon is standing up to this newest bill and Trump which will probably lessen the hate. Also I enjoy it personally. It’s ridiculous the extras these politicians stuff into bills. It should be outlawed.

Elon is now back in dems good graces and is bashing Trump. I think Elon might win this battle. People that bought it for political reasons or hate it for politcal reasons are not worth your time.

This is what we did - We had to drive slowly thru (I mean by) the "hands off" protestors a month ago. A couple of blocks of fools protesting DOGE, Musk and Prez Trump... My girl is nuts so she thinks they are all yelling and cheering us on as she's smiling, thumbs up, and waving at the people to the point they think we support them and on my side I'm tell'm to F off and giving the bird - It was hysterical to see her side yelling then cheering and waving back at her and my side was getting upset at me for honking and yelling back at them... I love our Truck- It is the best.... I guess my point is teach your children to stand up to the crazies or teach them to love'em to death? - I'm in AZ don't get much crap - open carry state - tinted windows so dark you can't see the people half the time....

Every day I drive my truck I get flipped off. Every. Single. Day. I live in a very liberal county in Michigan. Yesterday a guy actually made a stroking motion with his hand as I passed him by. People will yell at me from their cars, tell me to get a real truck, and go out of their way to give me the finger. I get it from both sides - the good old boys in their lifted ICE pickups who feel threatened by progress, older women with multi-colored hair driving Subarus who are threatened by Elon, and young guys in rice burners who are simply brainwashed by the media. It never ends.

However, I've decided to turn it into a game. If I don't get flipped off at least once while running errands or out and about, I lose. So I'm actually waiting for it to happen now. Instead of giving them the finger back, I wave as if in recognition. I'm not going to let anyone spoil it for me - this is the best truck ever made and I'm not going to left a brainwashed populace tell me otherwise.

On the positive side, nearly every day someone asks about my truck. They also tell me they didn't think it was so big (queue that's what she said jokes). Many people want to look inside it, and are fascinated by it. Honestly, I get both extremes, and I just take the good with the bad.

If it came down to a choice between living in an area full of such horrible people, or keeping my truck, I'd rather move somewhere where people are nicer and keep the truck. Already considering it!

I'm sorry you're experiencing this. I live in Idaho and get grief from both the left and the right here. It has been a tough journey, but I'm at almost 20,000 miles and love my truck so the haters can __ck right off.
That said, I find humor often disarms the biggest jerks. I have a vanity plate that says "FRIDG" and Giant blue wire nuts hanging from the trailer hitch. Humor, and giving them the sense that I don't take it all to seriously seems to disarm a lot of folks.
I'm considering adding a Tesla coil looking like a smoke stack to the top to poke fun at the diesel bros who like to belch out black smoke whenever they see me. "I'ma shit my own bed to show my dislike to EV drivers!".
If folks are giving you crap for the vehicle you drive, it's their problem. If you love it, keep it.
