I almost bought a Lightning a few weeks ago but couldn't stomach living with a 5.5ft bed. I could probably make a 6.5ft work, but 5.5ft is a bridge too far. You can't even haul a mattress in a bed that short.
They've whittled down the usable bed size and the front trunk size to the point that the truck has limited utility as a truck.
The 5ft usable bed length and narrow cross section has turned it into a boutique vehicle like the R1T.

I'm thinking that if Tesla was concerned about killing demand with a high price, the first thing they would have done is remove 4-wheel steering.

I have a growing feeling that GM is either unable or unwilling to produce the Silverado in big enough numbers for us mortals to be able to actually buy one. If they did, I would seriously consider it.
I was just thinking this. What other consumer vehicle has body panels thick enough and stiff enough that they can be cut and chamfered instead of being hemmed to give them stiffness?
