IMO Tesla AI answers should be taken with a grain of salt. When questioned about my early morning 2/20 (127140xxx) SAWD order numerous times over the past 2 weeks it gives me 2027 for a delivery date. When I placed my reservation Tesla showed a June delivery window.

You generally get what you pay for in life. A cheap truck will feel cheap in many ways. Materials, ride comfort, durability, battery range, etc.

Just keep in mind it’s another monthly revenue stream for Tesla. You can rest assured that Tesla actuaries have crunched the numbers and assessed the risks. They have determined that it would be profitable to offer windshield insurance to Cybertruck owners.

Delivery times in my area for new PAWD orders is now August-September. Yup, 9+ weeks minimum until the earliest delivery.

I'll take the new Mercedes Benz AMG GT 55 and invest the $400k difference.
