This is crazy. So don't use the factory run a bunck of wires have these items sit on top of the factory design and done. No thanks. If anything what I would be able to accept is a version that doesn't need to be wired in spearately. So it sits on top of the OEM, moves your phone to the ideal...
Every swivel screen kit on the market are all the same. They are private branded out of CHina, so get it wherever you get the best price. They do work good. I don’t regret mine at all.
It is just a fan, the air within the cab has to be cool from the AC, then it sucks that cool air up. If it is just blowing warm air it won’t do much. I notice mine works best after the AC has been running for a good 10-15 mins.
I have swapped the trim from white to grey. No issues. You do have to take it into service after to have them re-sync the led light strip in the panels. That is all, it is a service computer thing to do that part.
A new wire harness fixes the error. The wire harness pulls 12v power from a different location than the previous wire harness. I just got it tested this week, resolving the audio system error. A firmware update will not resolve it. I don't know how long it will take for these new wire harnesses...
Similiar issue here. I had same error on screen and my phone bluetooth microphone stopped working. I can hear people, but they can't hear me. Unplugged the harness from oem computer and everything is back to normal, but obvisouly no rearvew camera currently. Very annoying.
SO it mounts the same? Utilizes the OEM power connection point? It interacts fully with the OEM software and is recognized by it? Works with the Tesla light show?
I don’t think it is a tire issue. I experience the same occasionally on freeways. Where around turns at high speed it struggles to stay centered in the lane. And then often it hugs the driver side of the lane as well. And yes I have reconfigured/sync’d cameras to no resolve.
If I were doing this I would set up a Bluetooth baby/nanny camera. Something to keep an eye on them while driving. Also make sure to vent the bed occasionally I hear Co2 does build up in there.
