Front plastic piece below frunk broke off

See pictures…. Front plastic piece below frunk broke off on one side and I loosened nut on bolt holding other edge and took it off. It was filled with frozen sand (live in cold climate). Anyone else had a problem like this? Strange design that it is hollow and fills up with road dirt.

They’re designed to be removable for off-roading. Pretty cheap to replace if you want to, just send a service request. Or take the other one off and be ready for off-roading anytime. They’re just there for aero anyway.

If you do replace them, might want to add some drainage holes, no idea why they don't already have them. $40 each to replace.

FYI, the part number is only for the plastic piece, bolts and nuts are separate (in case they are missing). Parts 9&10.

My right front faring snapped off after FSD lost control on a snowy road before I could take over, and hit a snow bank (no harm done otherwise). The replacement part was $55 and the labor was $25.20 (those are Canadian dollars, so about $3.72 US...).

There’s a black plastic piece covering below the hitch square area. It’s wide and flat. Is that necessary?? Weird how Tesla designed the rear with so many sections of plastic under the bumper.
