I’m sure you can leave it unplugged and only have the rear camera displayed.

Commenting on my own post. It seems that after a recent update to the CT this mirror has started throwing errors for some folks that say “Audio System Unavailable”. Ian not sure I want to go through the trouble of installing it if it’s going to cause problems that may or may not be resolved at a later date. Anyone have any insight to that or has hardly anybody actually installed these things?

The audio warning is present on mine. Support has said they intend to fix with a firmware update to the mirror. I throughly checked the speakers and tere has been no actual impact to anything. I

Yeah, that honestly sucks, I just received mine and wanted to install it this weekend but not going to if it’s going to cause problems. I am guessing a return is going to be a nightmare.

A new wire harness fixes the error. The wire harness pulls 12v power from a different location than the previous wire harness. I just got it tested this week, resolving the audio system error. A firmware update will not resolve it. I don't know how long it will take for these new wire harnesses to become available to the masses. I was working direct with the manufacturer testing various harnesses.

How did you get the new wire harness? I have same issue “Audio system unavailable” and right speaker on the door filler not working.

So, there is a fix in the works that should eventually be available and it’s a piece of hardware. Is that correct?
