It might be something as simple as the connection to the seat isn't firmly set. The stories on here about bad Service visits are like most things on the internet: you only hear about them when there's an issue. It's a new truck under warranty: get it fixed!
I agree it was overly generous of them when you could just pause it, but the $5/mo seems reasonable. As far as I'm aware, there really is no other company that does this (let you just pause anytime and restart without any fee). Most require some kind of annual contract, and if not, there's...
I'm in Florida, so probably a little different environment.
The only hate I've ever gotten was captured on Sentry mode where an older woman (with her husband) gave my Tesla double bird signs...but it was to our Model S, not our Cybertruck lol.
Having just driven a rental Ford Expedition for the last 2 weeks with very poor adaptive cruise control and lane centering, and having done MANY 1000+ mile trips in Tesla's as far back as 2017, there's no comparison. Take the Tesla!
Another pro-tip: Break your trip up into a couple of days...
I'm only at 10k miles, but they still look brand new. I "drive" mostly in an even better, more gentle version of Chill mode: FSD. I think that's why the tires look so good lol.
@Bubblehead, is this with the latest version that has Grok (2025.26.4)? I noticed an improvement in FSD (even though no release notes saying so). Besides overall improvement, 2 places where it would choose the wrong lane are no fixed, and a "jerk" to course correct on a long curve going into my...
@roadrunner32, my wife went from not sure she'd ever drive it to preferring it over our Model S Plaid (which has been relegated to whoever is last picking a vehicle lol). It's hard to quantify why it's so great, but there's something special about the Cybertruck.
My buddy who's driven every...
Yesterday was a great example of a use case:
Truck driving on latest FSD (which seems to have improved even though there were no release notes on it)
Eating Chick-fil-a (using both hands sometimes)
Asking Grok about the latest MLB trades that happened at the trade deadline, and how many games...
Got the update, and linked it to my Grok account (which was surprisingly easy/well integrated). I only use the straight Assistant mode, and use the long press Speak button on the yoke to talk and to stop talking.
It's worked great for me. It's really handy when in a discussion and a question...
