I disagree that having rolling downhill gives you more range. I live where there are many miles of steep uphill and my M3 LR really gets low 3.5 mi/kwh results. Of course it's downhill on the other side but it doesn't regen everything it lost.
If I go to another city with less severe terrain, I...
In this example, I don't care on range for 10- minute drives. What I care is the range for continuous 2+ hours drive. If you just live where only 30 or less minutes are required for 90% of driving, RWD is an excellent decision. For me, 300 + - 20 miles is required where I live to enjoy.
Happy...
It depends on who you are and where you live. I live in a 75+5 mph limit, I don't drive very fast but I'm not slow. I don't tow, don't carry heavy loads. I want to use it for long trips so I need to average 250 to 275 miles fully charged for dual but based on what I read, real world range is...
You wrote the most comprehensive explanation of EV vs ICE. However, when I first got my M3, there was a tremendous discrepancy between epa rating and real world rating that even people in tesla cannot explain satisfactorily. I think most of the first time owners of EV had some basic...
Boom! What if you find out you got worse range than your current concern? Consumers need to know what they are paying for $80k or $100k. It would be nice if you get more or less what you expected. Not so much less.
Same here. I have a Model 3 LR supposed to go 330 miles. I haven't gotten better than 250 miles. Yes, consistently lost 25% at best. I was hoping this CT would fix my range issue but I'm starting to doubt if I'll proceed with the order.
Hope tesla dies something ro fix that dismal battery range. If it stays the same when it's my turn, I'll either postpone or cancel my order. For AWD, 340 miles down to 178 miles is a failure imo.
But this is extremely low range. My BMW was not far from the EPA estimate and my place goes up and down on 2,000 feet elevation. Discouraging if not improved.
Frankly, I got turned off by these stats.
178 miles range is no starter to me. My turn is still 2 years away but if there's no better news by then, I'll cancel my order. I'm disgusted.
I'm a fan of SS too. Correct me if I'm wrong. I think it's harder to fix a scratch on a wrap than unwrapped SS because a wrap is only made of plastic. Right?
I'm around 280K in the queue including all trims. I'm expecting a late 2025 delivery. My wish is price adjustments are coming by then.
But then, I'll go for my DM order as I'm at the end of my life cycle. This is my one chance to brag. ? ? ? ? ?
For the interior, is it true that the material used for the White is very easily clean? What about stains? To me the white is very elegant but I'm afraid of the Passengers not being careful.
I think you're right. I order DM and I'm stuck with it because the TM is beyond my budget by a mile. If they're building no SM and very few TM then, I'll get my DM sooner than expected unless everyone rush to the DM trim for the reason you gave.
I'm not discouraging you but my order was 2.5 yrs ago and my expectation is the 2nd half of 2025 if I'm lucky. Maybe yours will arrive between 2027 to 2028. Hope you're lucky. Depends on production output 250,000 or 375,000 or 500,000 CT's a year beyond 2025.
I wish the RWD can go more than 250 but i'm worried bc of my experience with my M3 that's supposed to go 330 mi but the terrain where I live gives me less than 270 mi. It would have been great if the RWD offers a Range Extender too to get to 350 mi. I'm just dreaming. ? ?
