This is crazy. I never thought I'd see the day. I honestly thought Tesla would be forced to move to CCS by the government a couple of years down the road. I'm super excited to see that the better connector is possibly going to win out. Hopefully the domino effect starts with all the other...
We're both just looking at this from all the possible angels we can, with our own bias. I really wish Tesla would get off their ass and get it out there so we can all stop arguing, lol. To add, I never said $10-20k more than the 3, I said to look at how they priced the 3 at rollout. It was...
The pre-order numbers don't mean anything. It's a $100 refundable deposit. If Tesla wants real numbers, make it $1k non-refundable and you'll see the real demand (we'll only see this number at launch). The preorders can only be used to show the demand for the truck at the prices they announced...
I keep thinking about his production number estimate. 250k/year, eventually, would not equate to S/X prices. Maybe the first year, they do similar to the 3 ramp. The model 3 Performance debuted in 2018 at $78k, a month later, dropped to $69k. Then a year later, another drop to $59K. They still...
Look at the Lightning and all the ones sitting on lots for $80-110k. There's almost no market for trucks priced that high. Yes, this is a Tesla truck and unique, but you price it over $80K and I bet 50-75% of people back out. I know there are some 1.5 million reservations, but how many of those...
Agreed. Sounds like they need to know demand a little better to determine cost. I bet they could stick to original pricing if demand is high. I still think they'll keep it under $80k IRA limit. I don't see them producing 250-500k/year if you price it higher

Looks like the next model 3 will have no stalks. Personally, I think this is the worst aspect of the new vehicles. I was hoping cybertruck wouldn't follow, but now that I see this, that hope is fading fast. Maybe we'll get lucky and the 3's sales will tank when...
You could even tell on the video. I'm really hoping that plastic look gets replaced with glass. Does anyone know what material covers the light bar? It just looks like a plastic led diffuser, like you'd use for an LED channel
This comes up quite often and you can't compare model 3 deliveries to cybertruck. I'd compare it more to the rollout of the Y. Tesla has grown exponentially since the 3 and I don't see them sticking to the model 3 plan of only filling orders to people close by. They will load trucks onto...
You guys should get together sometime and hang out. Then, after you've hashed this all out, create a post summarizing it. This way the rest of us don't have to read the constant back and forth y'all get into so often?
I currently use it weekly on the 3. If the cybertruck is auto open and close, I'd use it daily because I either pull through or back-in to parking spots.
