I love how people are still thinking the highest trim will be above $80k. You all are nuts and I love reading your comments. If Tesla is going to have a run rate north of 100k vehicles, they will not be charging anything over the IRA $80k limit. There is LITERALLY, no market for that. I'd even...
Sure, it doesn't matter. But they said 500 miles and I expect 500 miles.
The use cases don't matter, everyone is unique in their needs. You release a 500 mile range truck, you expand your use cases and customers, when you lower range, you shrink them.
I wonder if they split that a little bit. Maybe 70/30 for standard range vs long range. This way they can still advertise the 500 mile range, but focus production on standard until cell production is up to the task.
I can't wait for the people who fork over $10k and in 3-5 years ask Tesla for refunds because it's flaking or fading. For that kind of money, I'd expect it to be guaranteed for 15-20 years. Insane.
Might just be me, but that white doesn't really match at all. I suppose if you decide to wrap the truck, maybe. I was really hoping they'd offer a gray option similar to Rivian's coastal version. But, it's Tesla. You'll get white or black.
Seems like he wants to avoid business loans, imo. He even states he'd have to put the money up himself to do the teardown.
And obviously he's not stupid and sees that he could save a bunch by just selling high margin merch to help offset that cost. My issue is the way in which he communicates...
That transport driver might get in a little bit of trouble....I wonder what this does?
Edit: Now that I posted it, it's probably the latch to fold down the center seat.
Agreed. This video was really weird. Like, who knew a business required money. No way /s.
Haven't they been in business for 20+ years? What did they do before getting people to front them? It's crazy because even if no one bought their shit, you 100% know they'd get a loan to tear down that...
I'm very interested in what happens with the new 3. It's going to be the barometer when it comes to stalks or no stalks. If they don't sell what they expect or get hammered by regular customers, I have a feeling they make a come back. But, time will tell.
I just want to hear the official announcement already! I honestly thought we'd get something by the end of September, but probably not. It will be fun to watch Joe's drone stuff this week and next, to see how the production line output progresses.
