I was not impressed with the service tech who attended me. Asked if the new primer/adhesive for the light bar was being used and he did not know what I was talking about.
Is this the SC in Miami Gardens? Why not ask for a CT loaner? Explain to them your requirements. I had an appointment last month for an off-road light bar - only to arrive and the item was not in stock.
Mine did not get commissioned until it was inspected by FPL (local power company). Don’t know if it’s driven by local regs or Tesla. I did mine thru Qmerit’s third party provider.
The big issue in my opinion is liability; will Tesla honor the warranty if equipment malfunctions. The installer for my equipment stated that they had to return several gateways. For peace of mind I would get a certified electrician to assist you.

That is sloppy work……I would return for a refit; hopefully they don’t crack the base pulling it off the windshield. First one I see that’s misaligned that bad.
Do it! You will not regret the Beast. Tech inspired high performance with the flexibility of a comfortable ride all in one. I don’t think it will become a guilty burden -that’s a great pricing package with the side options thrown in.
No RPM did not have the swivel at the time. I got mine from ANYSIX (I believe one of the first vendors) They subsequently sent me the improved cable. I have bought from RPM before and they seem good about answering questions. I would ask them if the cable has the clip lock.
Apparently these are made by one manufacturer and sold by a variety of vendors. They have since modified the USB connector so it cannot detach (push clip). Prices have come down- Amazon is your friend. I have had mine for at least six months and find it user friendly. If you worry about...
In an overload situation my house breakers will not trip before the gateway one does. When the installer completed the project, he did a trial run demonstrating what happenes in an overload situation. Sure enough, the gateway breaker (60amps) tripped first. That is why, as a process of...
