Tesla Rear Bumper Protectors short review

Well, we have our XPEL Armor range, but yes, the OEM version is pretty bad. I think they've improved it (slightly) since I installed, but a junk product from an OEM, nothing like the renders on the website.

OEM Bed Textile Mat - Initial Thoughts / Review

Not super grippy, but It provides more resistance than the naked (or Armored) truck bed. I was pleasantly surprised by it, it lays flat, provides some grip, but also not annoyingly so when loading stuff. The cheap floormat-style covers drive me mad with that, stuff snags on them all the time.

Sell me on the OEM crossbars

Totally normal, it's a very weedy bit of plastic, only there for aesthetics. They flop all over the place when not attached to the truck.

Agree? Tesla & Cybertruck stand to gain from Lightning EV cancellation & Ford's pivot to hybrids (article)

Not without a substantial front-end redesign to meet the pedestrian safety standards in the EU & UK. Seems unlikely Tesla will invest in that, at this point.

Agree? Tesla & Cybertruck stand to gain from Lightning EV cancellation & Ford's pivot to hybrids (article)

^ This. The MS competed on every front in that space at the time, including price, and obviously exceeded in terms of 0-60 and TCO. EV trucks, from any company, are not doing that yet. Too expensive and not enough range (even worse when towing). That's fine for a lot of us, that don't 'need' a...

Agree? Tesla & Cybertruck stand to gain from Lightning EV cancellation & Ford's pivot to hybrids (article)

I doubt Tesla/CT will gain much, if anything, from the Lightning being ditched. Those potential buyers will either wait for the hybrid F150 or buy another gas truck, they're totally different markets (unless Tesla slashes the price and adds range). We're not going to see Cybertruck's in volume...

Front license plate camera glass getting worn from road stuff - any replacement or protection options?

Hello all. Totally reminds me of this: We had one, briefly, but turns out if your dogs are arseholes, they get practically rabid inside the porthole whenever anything is nearby, and cover it in slobber and god knows what. Anyway. The side cameras are really easy to protect (not that they...

    Replying to a Group Text

Yeah, it's always been an issue, at least for iPhone, which is normally Tesla's sweet spot. Like @Hammy60 said, this (and Waze) is where Carplay would be useful.

Anyone know where to find one of these in white?

lol. Fair enough. I've asked about a white version, will hear back tomorrow.

Anyone know where to find one of these in white?

I can do you a grey...the photo doesn't really show the color very well, it's lighter than it appears there, but not really close to white. I'll check, apparently I need to replenish the black ones too...

    Screen Protector

Depends if it's matte or HD clear; the latter does nothing for glare (reflections), but is virtually invisible when installed, and fingerprint clean up should be much easier (it resists more than the factory finish, but if someone goes at it with Cheeto-fingers, it's not magic, but the clean up...

    Truck totally unresponsive

Exactly this. As someone that had their truck towed 4x, none of the tow drivers had ever worked on a Cybertruck. They also had about 7 teeth between them. Jumping it to see if you can reset things is the best way to go, it's a shame Tesla can't send rangers for this sort of thing, but they never...

Frunk sharp corner solution. No more head bangers!

No blood is a win, I'd get so mad when I hit my head on one of the corners, and double-mad when the blood inevitably appeared. So annoying!

Frunk sharp corner solution. No more head bangers!

No, there's been many, many well-documented electrical issues that 4 tows and many more SC visits were unable to solve. It got to the point where my wife just wouldn't drive it as she had no trust it would not break down, and although I'm more tolerant to that sort of thing, I felt the same. It...

Frunk sharp corner solution. No more head bangers!

Not bad. The exterior trim was no issue at all (all the smooth trim; flares, bumpers, rockers, frunk etc) - 20 mins to get it all off. The bed took the most time, since that's a more abrasive and weirdly absorbent surface, so tends to hold on to it a bit more. The main trick is to pull it off at...

Frunk sharp corner solution. No more head bangers!

My truck had the factory corner protectors (Vin 1000), so I assumed all trucks had them, they were not installed post-delivery. I've scoured the EPC, but can't find them on there, but I'm pretty sure if you look at most any other truck in the SC they'll have them, and if they really need the...

FSD in single lane vs double lane Roundabouts

Give me a roundabout over a 4-way stop anytime. Coming from the UK, the 4-way stops (signed or lights) are so inefficient, and I lose my mind if I get there second, and whoever was there waves me through!
