It’s hard to say. If the range extender takes up 1/3 of the bed then it’s 4’x2’. Not sure about the height, but it has to stay under the tonneau cover. The area under the seats definitely seems smaller than that, but it’s not unheard of Tesla bolting seats to a battery pack. They do it with the...
I completely agree. I was not surprised at all, except with their inclusion of the RWD model. I thought they’d drop that. I had the prices almost perfectly matched and boy were there people who were mad at me for it. I just looked at Tesla’s other vehicle prices, as well as the rest of the...
I agree with you as did Brian McCafferty. Why couldn’t they have put the range extending battery under the rear seats? I’m sure customers would have given up that space to drive an extra 180 miles. And like you said sacrificing the frunk and the gear locker in the vault could have also been a...
Tesla should not estimate, speculate, or announce any pricing or specs until a vehicle is actually ready to delivery. It would save them all kinds of blowback.
After watching and listening to a ridiculous number of YouTube videos and podcasts about the CyberTruck I think I understand the marketing behind it and what Tesla is trying to accomplish. Of course this is just my opinion and speculation.
Personally I thought the RWD single-motor variant would...
This is great! Tesla needs to put these and other quick videos out like this all over the internet. This could be their advertising. Show off what the vehicles can do, even if it’s just one aspect. The frunk or the tonneau cover, for example.
I actually had a similar reaction. Like, why did they put Cerberus on the back of the CyberTruck? Oh… wait a second. That’s clever. I love Tesla’s Easter eggs.
No, they will just produce fewer CyberTrucks. CyberTrucks are difficult to make, so that works out fine for Tesla. They’ll be ramping up production to 200,000+ a year by 2025. The price might drop 3-5 years from now depending on how many they make. If the volume goes up the price will come down...
That’s true. Tesla has managed to do that with all of the other vehicles. I would hope that the CT would be no different. Increase volume, improve manufacturing, reduce costs, and pass some of the savings off to the customer.
Then again if you’re always waiting for the next best thing you’ll...
