There's another thread that drifted into discussing these. We're testing if the revised Armor cut works to cover the filler piece, if not, I'll just buy a set and template it properly, but if there's any demand for a revised Rocker kit that assumes the 'fairing delete', that's easy to do.
Does the graphic update when it flies off?
I'm totally joking, but since there's been a few reports, I'd check it for a few days to make sure it's planted.
The lightbar is available in the catalog for $2500, not sure if they'd actually install on a non-Foundation Beast.
No. They're unique to us, that's why it took so long to develop and get certified. The white is at a temp of 6500k (cool white), that's always been the case for our lights, it's the same cool white Tesla used to use for their Model S foglights, way back in the day, and as a rule, cool white...
Yeah, can do. In theory, you'd just need the front rocker section (B), but without the cutout (A), right? Something like this?
We'd be lucky if that turns out to be a perfect fit, so it might need templating, but happy to give it a try and see if we get lucky. We can take this to DM if you want.
Ha, love that. I remember in the early days recording a video on how to wrap the wooden dash trim in 3/Y. Didn't have a workshop, so it was outside, in the middle of a Texas summer. Sweating buckets, with the outlaws just watching on, making various quiet comments about my production skills. Fun...
Thanks, interesting! The install process looks so error-prone, or at least, overly-complex for an OEM part that should have been part of the core CT design from day one.
Sounds like another recall is needed. I think about ~10% of owners are active on this forum, so that 3 becomes 30 across the fleet (in theory, basic math, I know).
It's so odd, I know they're using VHB tape for this (which is obviously inferior to a true mechanical interface), but that stuff...
oof, that's rough. I'd certainly point the finger at Tesla, this is no different than a sail trim or cantrails flying off - they installed it, so they are responsible. Might be helpful to grab any footage from Sentry, but I assume they'd be able to see in the logs when the harness disconnected...
Sure do, this should take you to the right place: https://abstractocean.com/products/ultra-tough-xpel-armor-truck-bed-side-protection?variant=44366162034861
(assuming you mean the sides of the actual bed, otherwise we have the Vault walls).
My truck is back in service (was due back on Wednesday, but we all know how that goes...!), otherwise I'd take a photo. I'd say that the Armor is no more or less slippy than the stock bed, so I don't think it would solve your problems there. Some of the spray-on coatings are much...
yeah, there's loads of threads about it, the most recent: https://www.cybertruckownersclub.com/forum/threads/anyone-get-a-new-ct-cb-and-have-a-badly-faded-truck-bed.40677/page-2#post-30562878
Some people have had some luck with plastic treatments, but it's an odd material, and absorbs a lot of...
I don't think they will be, the pedestrian safety regulations in the UK/EU are far more stringent, the CT misses on many, many points (as would many other US trucks). That, and the fact that driving something the size of the CT would not be ideal for most owners, that's partly why truck sales...
Using round numbers, lets say they've delivered 50k Cybertrucks, at a gross margin of 20% (Tesla doesn't break this out by model, but their overall GM is 19.8%) and average sale price of $90k, they've made about $900M in gross profit. Is that enough to cover the R&D cost, factory build out, all...
The cupholder just 'clips' in with little rubber tabs along the top, but they pull away easily if you put something larger than a regular soda can or water bottle in there. Yours looks the same as our @HeWasaLonelyGhost , or at least, the same when my wife's driven it, and before I patiently...
Sure @freyguy . Generally the custom work is only if it can be become a production item, as the design process is very time consuming. No laser-scanning here, just a lot of templating and testing with vinyl!
