I don't see why they wouldn't support it. It might not be the shiny coolness, but it's still very popular in the wild. And no, I wouldn't want to, but I really wouldn't want to charge it at the 6kW a L2 charger puts out. Contrary to the belief of many, there are still several areas of the US...
On average, for this trip, yeah. Which is an improvement over my other Teslas, keeping in mind it's both Real World and Relative. Midwest winter driving with a lead foot is going to be completely different than the constant spring weather and accelerator babying on the west coast that those...
CHAdeMO because it is fairly public/obvious knowledge that CCS won't work (since the adapter doesn't fit).
I know it's coming, just frustrated that it wasn't there (or publicly called out as a missing thing). Most drivers would assume that since it's present on all of their cars today, it'd be...
Check out the data HERE.
The Good: Even without AP, driving this thing is just FUN! Comfortable ride, 0 range anxiety (had to stick <80 on one stretch because #EasternOklahoma + #ColdWeather + #NightDrive). Got to talk a LOT of Tesla because I had people come up and ask about it in _every...
I've also been relying on plate reads, but would be great to finally be able to 1) use it at the airport and 2) not have to call PikePass to fix charges every time I drive through Oklahoma lol.
You need the MyQ accessory. MyQ only works natively with wifi-enabled Chamberlain and Liftmaster openers. https://support.chamberlaingroup.com/s/article/What-do-I-need-for-the-MyQ-Home-Control-app-or-website-to-monitor-and-operate-my-garage-door-opener-1484145693687
Almost halfway through. I’m from Texas, we don’t do that 60mph crap (or the 60 degree weather crap lol; it’s 30 or 90 ;)). Average for most (80-90%) of this is 80mph highway.
Most recent (current) drive was about 75mph, 25F outside.
One note, the energy estimates have been -spot on-. REALLY...
I knew we didn’t have CCS yet, but I was quite disappointed to find out today CHAdeMO doesn’t work either! Warning message says it’s not supported after trying to charge. Luckily I had enough extra juice to get to a supercharger but hopefully this serves as a warning to those that rely on it!
Does that shading tend to block the signal? I know it's there for the sun but not sure if it's got any other blocking characteristics. Trying to put it higher up, I don't want it in the middle of the windshield lol.
Hoping it’ll work further up. The camera and mirror are a lot lower than other models. I’m gonna have it at the top of this, hoping they’re not blocking signals in that shaded area.
[UPDATE: Added photo + Top of the windshield beside the mirror/camera assembly works great! Tested at DFW Airport]
Where is everyone putting their TollTag/NTTA stickers? The manual says "next to the rear view mirror", but the "rvm" assembly is crazy big. Can anyone confirm or deny that the...
The CT does come with two keycards. I don’t think they were metal, I don’t carry mine with me but I’ll come edit this post to confirm when I get home. The phone key uses UWB if you have an iPhone so it’s really accurate, hasn’t failed for me once in a week of driving.
They are supposed to work...
It does fully open, and it opens all the way. There are no sensors, but there should be. My kid has already opened it without asking (luckily it wasn't in the garage) and I've opened accidentally and bumped a supercharger stall with it lol. Luckily, it opens pretty slow, so it'd be hard to do...
@Kahpernicus they're certainly fake, no AS/FSD in CT (one of the ones I saw was a long hands-free moment). But I'm curious about your VP comment - it doesn't work while moving? It might be handy in the back of a car on a road trip but I didn't know if it would realize it was in a moving car.
Picked mine up yesterday @ Plano, TX. Amazing vehicle. I'm 10-ish in the DFW area (that I know of, there's likely a few I don't lol). Reserved day 1, configured 12/8, VIN 1/29, Delivery 2/3, AWD FS.
