Lol. There may be areas where that's the case, but we have family in Chihuahua City and drive down from either El Paso or through Ojinaga a couple times a year. Never had an issue (except for the question at hand, because every single time we go the Aduana the staff seem to be working off a...
Mexico isn't that bad, we go all the time :). And where we stay is an extremely low-crime area (plus whatever Tesla we bring stays in a garage ot night).
Has anyone gotten a Mexico Temporary Import Permit for the truck (or a similar-sized 3/4T or 1T truck) yet? Banjercito (if you don't know who that is stop reading ;)) has their 3.5T limit, but nobody seems to know what that actually means (a dozen different websites have different definitions)...
This makes me wonder how much attention I'm gonna get from CBP crossing the Mexico border. I doubt the current xrays/systems are well designed for stainless steel vehicles.
Indeed. If you zoom in on mine you can see that's what happens lol.
Wish I could find that price around here; everyone wants 3500+. If I could find that price I wouldn't have done it myself (hell I'd probably pay that to have mine fixed!)
I haven't put a car seat in mine yet but I can tell you that there is more space in the back than any other Tesla model, so you should be perfectly fine. And as mentioned above, you can adjust the front passenger seat from the rear :).
I went a similar route with the Avery Prismatic Gray. Did it myself though, and learned I suck at wrapping cars ;). Color came out awesome but lots of flaws on it. I figure it's a truck, it's supposed to have character lol.
It's not all-inclusive, obviously. But it's an interesting way to see where the truck is being delivered, figuring that once a few are in an area, statistically, -someone- is gonna try to get that cash by putting it on Turo, especially trying to be the first 1-2 in the area...
Have the same issue with mine; some areas it seems to fit well, other areas it seems it's not wide enough. Really a horrible product that I wish I wasn't too lazy to go through a return process for.
I don't think a mat would help. The liner itself is actually really good at keeping friction...
I noticed the same thing; I guess it might be a glitch, but I assumed Tesla had made that the default in order to save a crapton of money with the cell providers. Sat maps eat a LOT of data, and if they don't give an option to stay in that mode, it's likely most people won't bother switching...
It would be a really rough estimate (there were other drives mixed in at my stops, and I've got a completely different SOC and starting point now). But the important part of the estimates was that they were almost all within 5%, so I'm confident I can trust a 10% SOC arrival estimate. In my S/Y...
Classic remotes work great, the hinge isn't all the way across and an opener fits nicely on the side. I keep mine there as a backup because the MyQ implementation is a bit buggy... at least 1-2 times a week it'll just say "Error" and you can't use it for 5-10 minutes until it fixes itself.
I can confirm that shaded area is a perfect out-of-the-way spot :). Received my tag yesterday and tested it out today by going in and out of DFW. Read it really quick, I barely had to stop :).
I'm not sure if I'm losing my mind, or if Tesla really overlooked this one; is there no Cabin Overheat Protection?
One of my favorite features of Tesla cars, especially in Texas. And I can't find any mention of it in the settings pages, or the owners manual (the manual says the fan might turn...
No. Nav instructions are moved to the left side so you can see your next turn and how far it is, but everything else is hidden by the energy graph. If I was curious on an ETA update or future look, I'd minimize the graph and then tap it back up.
