Cybertruck Breaks Down in Mojave + F-150 Raptor Size Comparison + ~350mile Range Prediction?

Correction. Just checked website. X (not plaid) has 348 miles of range. About 100 miles short for me. Plaid is 333 miles.

Cybertruck Breaks Down in Mojave + F-150 Raptor Size Comparison + ~350mile Range Prediction?

Current X range is 320 miles. The LR X had 420 miles of range, but you cannot order that anymore. Check the Tesla web site. There is only one range option. It is why I am not driving a X while I wait for my CT with 500 miles of range.

Rumor: $98900 price for tri-motor Cybertruck??

My reservation is for a tri AWD 500 mile range. 320 miles does not work for me. The Chevy gets 450 miles. I am aware the range on the X has dropped from 420 to 330 and you cannot order anything else. You guys in small overpopulated states have no idea of the need for range. 320 miles will not...

    Region Release

Well, I live in Reno, Nevada, where they make batteries at G1. There are over 7,000 employees there, which is a class with priority that does not respect the reservation system, but will fill up many transports. I am hoping one falls off the transport at my house, since I live by the main...

Rumor: $98900 price for tri-motor Cybertruck??

I definitely advise you to go to a Service Center or Showroom. I have been a frequent visitor to my Center here in Reno. Very nice folks. They will give you the straight skinny and you will not be scammed. The phone call sounds fishy.

Official: Cybertruck first deliveries on November 30, 2023!! Production capacity revealed to be >125K

I am not holding my breath. When the web page changes, then I will start getting excited. From the report, it appears they are having problems getting the production line in gear. CT's are just trickling out.

Cybertruck deliveries to hit 100-120k in 2024 says analyst Ming-Chi Kuo

I would not trust a used alternator. Rebuilt is different animal.

Cybertruck deliveries start in October says Tesla employee / Cybertruck test driver

"Cybertruck deliveries start in October"? Well, it is 12 October and the only "deliveries" have been to employees for testing. Us deposit guys have yet to see one. I live in Reno, Nevada, and, you would think, with 8,000 employees at Giga 1, we would see CT's all over the place. I have yet to...

Cybertruck deliveries to hit 100-120k in 2024 says analyst Ming-Chi Kuo

Exactly. The alternator just went out in my 2010 Chev 2500HD Silverado. You would think, being only 14 years old, GM would still stock the alternator? Nope! My local dealer here in Reno said "discontinued". The parts manager found one in Colfax - an hour down the road in the PRC. And, yes, I...

Outokumpu will be Cybertruck Stainless Steel Source / Producer

Correct. NUCOR is the largest steel producer in the USA. Most of their mills are "mini-mills", which produce higher quality steel, especially specialty products like SS. When I built my barbecue, the stainless top I bought from PDM, but it was made by NUCOR.

Rivian CEO Doesn’t Think Cybertruck Will Lure Away R1T Customers... Agree / Disagree?

The Rivian does not compare with the CT. R1T is about the size of a Ranger. The CT is supposed to be about the size of an F-150. The R1T is too small to be useful for me. I could not fit my two German Shepherds in the R1T. I can fit them in a Model X with two row seating, but not a sheet of...

    Cybertruck spotted in Truckee, Ca.

Paying attention to the fence top, you can see snow. I live n Reno and nearby Truckee got snow out of the last storm. So, I think the mud splash you see on the fenders is driving through snow on the highway. No need to go to NZ!

    Dogs in the Vault

And how many CT's of any trim are in real customer hands? How many CT's of any trim are available for MT, CD, etc. to test? Chevy has actually sold WT4's to real customers. Chevy is cranking them out as fast as they can, with the strike. Tesla doesn't even have a web page that lists anything...

    Dogs in the Vault

Elon has to, at the very least, update the web page with prices. They already know everything that will be on the "forever" web page. Why not share it with fandom? A lot of CT fans are getting fed up with this tease-tease stuff and will go with the Chevy. Here in Reno, my Chevy dealer has a...

Motor Trend article: https://www.motortrend.com/news/2024-chevrolet-silverado-ev-wt-range/ C&D article with prices: https://www.caranddriver.com/chevrolet/silverado-ev I expect the LTZ will be comparable in trim to the CT. Elon doesn't do fancy. My current Chevy is LTZ and it is pretty...

The Chevy has a openable partition. 450 mile range, too. WT version available now. Elon should have beaten Chevy to market. But Chevy looks like all pickups for last 70 years....

    Any 500mi range updates?

R1T is a mid-size - about the size of a Tacoma. Dozens of them running around here in Reno. R1S's, too.

Cybertruck deliveries start in October says Tesla employee / Cybertruck test driver

Did you know Black Rock owns a huge ranch that borders on the "desert"? They now own the Fly Geyser and those large ponds just south of the geyser. I do not know why they don't hold the event there and blow off the BLM and Pershing County.

I went home, but not after dropping my load - it was to DROP OFF my load! :)
