Also possible, Cybertruck sells for $1m.
Since we’re tossing out numbers with no basis. $1m has the merit of actually being based on something Musk actually said.
So you did see the crowds, lots of people at/ near their cars, the flags for a big event…
Don’t be an ass here because of one stupid detail.
And if you read her Tweet she even said there was an event.
People, here, on Twitter, everywhere. People love to vilify others and form righteous mobs based on little to no evidence.
There were flags. People camping in their cars and pretty clearly a big crowd.
It clearly wasn’t a normal Tuesday afternoon.
Absolutely!!
I don’t think this is. Bunch of AH looking to piss off EV owners. It’s. Bunch of people who showed up for an event and needed a parking place.
I think people need to keep the context in mind.
This was an event, very possibly a grand opening. Looked like one person had camped in their car like retail nuts often do to save a buck.
Maybe you think putting on a big event only to end up with pictures on the front page of the local paper...
Sure.
But if I own a business and I’m holding a big event, I’m not towing cars or passing out fines. It’s just bad business.
From the looks of the flags up, very possibly an opening event.
How many can afford an $80k truck at all? Not many. This is what I’ve been saying for a long time.
In any case, my post was referring to myself. I can afford the truck and I qualify for the incentive.
I think in the long run most Cybertrucks will sell for $50k - $60k as the appeal of the new...
I’m not suggesting it is ok.
Just pointing out it is inevitable and that the stores have zero motivation to enforce this.
Don’t put chargers in attractive parking areas. There is a reason Handicapped spaces are in the close up spots. There is no reason charger stalls should be close to the...
definitely
Just the fact that it has a super low center of gravity and typically drives 8” closer to the ground than vehicles with similar capabilities will massively reduce rollover risk. Rollovers are one of the most common ways truck occupants are injured or killed.
Cybertruck is much safer...
The top picture is at a Bucees. They call the people parked in the Supercharger “customers” and very few businesses want to tow customers vehicles, it cuts down on repeat visits.
It sure looks like the whole left side and right sides are single castings. Similar shape, but a fair bit different from the earlier prototype. I was thinking it was a big casting for the bottom and the 2 sail pillars were attached to the top, but these photos make me question that.
There are mount points which will work for a proper lumber rack. The lower profile and ability to squat the rear down should make loading and unloading much better for hauling lumber than a traditional truck.
I was not trying to twist anything you said.
I see where you get that idea though. Wasn’t my intent.
Edit: Eh. Retrospect. Sorry if the edit crosses another post.
Forgive me, maybe I missed a post where the top poster said they run a business with multiple trucks.
Thought I was clear that I was talking about the general case not fleets or heavy users. He did say “home use” in the top post.
