Saw this after a bit of off roading…realized a little debris from the tonneau cover was the least of my worries. It’s not super practical taking out the bed bay to clean, but definitely a fair amount of mud can collect just from a few puddles. The fwd floor panel is actually very easy to remove...
Second a sliding glass window!
Back seat HVAC is unaffected and works fine - that is all either in the center console or under the front seats. I think I will use the back floor ducts as the takeoff to route to the vault. I think it’s possible to just turn on the back seat vents and even use...
The removal process is simple, definitely don’t need the SC but the tent is a bit heavy. Sorry I don’t have a video, but it’s just two screws to remove from the back corners, then pick up the box (90lbs) and carry/slide it out.
I had been leaving the tent in, but ended up taking it out for a...
The original HPWC is controlled by the vehicle, limited by the dip switches. We left the dip switches set to the 100A setting and get 80A for the dual-charger 2013 Model S and 48A on the CT.
I have a quote from the SC for a new rocker fairing, it is $15. Picking up in two weeks, I’ll check for plastic composition markings then. The fastener holes had cracked from a curb impact. A better design might be where the fasteners break/release before the part, then the repair cost would...
You could use a plastic trim tool…but I opened the roof rack attachment point cover and gently lifted until I could get enough leverage to pop up one side of one clip (inboard side). Then work your way down the inboard side until all 5 are free.
I saw this during the first really hot day after taking delivery last month. The plastic wasn’t melting or warping, it just appeared bound up from either the clips or the positioning being too close to the rear stop. Either way, popping the trim out and reseating seemed to alleviate the problem.
For issues specifically with the NEMA 14-50 adapter, I’d recommend checking the service bulletin from 6/11. Mentions certain adapter serial numbers maybe have been programmed wrong and limit/prevent charging when using the 14-50 adapter...
Interesting ideas here... not sure about the coffin option, but we have tried camping in the bed first and now cybertent. Found both were great for different reasons and both could use some improvements.
Bed Camping: biggest down side was not being able to keep supplies in the bed every night...
What trail? Was on the Bald Mountain Jeep Trail in Virginia last weekend and noted similar performance on a fairly technical trail. The precision control and the interface available in the different off-road modes is incredible. On the first 4 hours of the trail we used ~16% battery (10 miles...
No outlets, just bare wires under the trim in the two locations shown that provide 48V power. The connector in the picture is my addition for quick connection to a couple of accessories I keep in the frunk. Not sure what can be done with the LIN wire yet as there is no documentation in the...
Figured out the problem, was a loose connector on the inside of the bumper. The blue connector in photo had to be snapped in. Fortunately this was accessible by reaching in through the right side opening in the bumper.
Has anyone experienced no power coming from the 7-pin connector and/or know a fix? I have a service appointment in two weeks, but would be great to know if it’s an easy fix or something I’m missing.
None of the trailer lights turn on (running lights, turn signals, brake lights), brake assist...
Update 2…delivery changed from 5/4 to 5/11. SC (Norfolk) called to let me know 5/3. Reasoning was the CT takes 3x longer for the technicians to inspect than other teslas. I expect it’s also because these are the first deliveries going through this SC.
The highest VIN number reported has been accelerating exponentially as well.
y = 0.0036x3 - 490.71x2 + 2E+07x - 3E+11 by my math. :geek: Bodes well for production continuing to accelerate.
Interestingly enough, the rate of deliveries (blue line) reported on the forum has been matching the...
