honestly, doesn’t make much sense.
Model 3 launched in 2018 and Tesla needed to recover the capex as quickly as possible if you recall. Those prices, and pace, gave birth to Model Y and beyond.
I have an AWD and on 35” all terrains at highway speeds I’ve gotten 370 miles of real-world highway range without stopping.
Good luck with your project.
Dispelling a common misconception, the price was NOT $50K higher.
It's both political parties printed dollars at a ridiculous rate to fund the mounting Federal deficits and interest on the mushrooming debt which meant that in just five years each dollar was worth considerably less than when the...
Count me among them
I waited until the last possible day of my one-year voucher to redeem in case a one-time purchase option became available for unlimited supercharging.
At the end, I knew what I was buying and was comfortable with the price I paid knowing full well lower priced...
Offers change all the time, you know this.
Tesla happens to be more transparent. no mysterious dealer holdbacks or trunk money. WYSIWYG. If you don't like what's on offer, don't buy. Same goes for any product or service.
It's not a question of fairness, the incentives changed. The folks...
Tesla did compensate, $2,500 voucher for the Tesla shop for even early Foundation Series. Early Beasts also got a Powershare install credit.
Thanks to the ridiculous Qmerit quotes I got a generator inlet installed instead with a manual lockout switch for ~$800 and then bought a cable with 240v...
Unless the Fed cuts rates 200 basis points, I don't think we'll see 0% on Cybertruck again.
Why?
Production has been adjusted to meet with demand. Back then, Cybertrucks were piling up so Tesla needed to clear inventory. Now is different.
AWD is basically a build-to-order config only and...
Having owned and traded in a Model S Plaid on my Cybertruck AWD I can share that either Cybertruck is going to feel slower. Much slower, at launch.
That said, I preferred the RWD handling bias of the AWD (the Cyberbeast is default FWD), lighter weight (more agile in the twisties), lockable...
Nothing yet. Has been sub-freezing (as low as 30 below freezing) for about a month and I'm hesitant to remove bits as I know I'll break clips in this weather. Waiting for above freezing conditions to take a run at it, hoping next week or the following.
My garage stays a bit warmer, but is a...
Congrats! I also went from a Plaid S to a Cybertruck, in my case I went with the AWD and couldn’t be happier.
Things to consider in the switch - seats on the S are much more comfortable than the Cybertruck. Ventilated seats on Cybertruck suck - literally and figuratively. Width takes a...
Typically incentives have a "must take delivery by mm/yy in order to qualify" date or language somewhere in the fine print. This isn't a Tesla thing, this is every car company. No surprise, they are trying to make numbers and if they are close to targets they provide a little extra trunk money...
I've got four cars - each with a spare tire. I end up adjusting tire pressures about 6 times per year. 6 x 4 x 5 = 120 tire pressure adjustment/year outside of extraneous events. When I have five to seven minutes, I can grab a battery operated inflator and finish one vehicle - no setup, no...
I believe it said 4-6 truck tires on a full charge.
More for seasonal adjustments, develop a slow leak or if you nominally air down to 30-35psi. I agree, if you drop pressures to <20psi I'm not confident you'd be able to air up all four before running out of charge.
BTW, it also takes a...
