That's a great pro tip, hadn't thought of starting with the undercarriage but it makes a heck of a lot of sense. Appreciate the insight, that's what makes this community so awesome, we're helping each other figure it all out.
We got a couple warm days in NJ and I took the opportunity to pressure wash the old Cybertruck. No soap, no additives, just a lot of water...under pressure! I did finish it off with a little something special, watch until the end - or skip ahead - to find out. All in all, would have been...
Good question. The Hansshow harness I have does NOT pass through power which is pretty annoying. I also have a dashboard display so am stuck using one or the other but not both. Now the vendor who supplied the dash display has provided me with an alternate harness for the Hansshow camera, but...
Had to take 72 board feet of Azek fascia boards 70 miles this weekend. That wasn't happening in any of our SUV's.
One observation: in the regular backup camera I couldn't see the boards or even safety flags, which was pretty annoying. Fortunately I have the Hansshow rearview camera mounted...
Best to ask about modifications before you purchase.
Tesla will know whether or not recalls have been performed on the truck or if they are still outstanding. You don't get anything else from them though.
You'll know ANC is working when it's raining.
I had it on my 2021 S Plaid and when it was raining you could see, but not really hear, the raindrops on the roof and windshield glass. It was pretty odd, and very quiet.
the only thing that would break the effect is when you drove under tree...
Good idea! We should be done with road salt season (fingers crossed) but you're right the salt/muck spray does impact the cameras, especially the rear tailgate one.
Could probably create some kind of simulated test with salt water solution sprayed onto the windshield. Thinking about Pan the...
ooohhh....interesting. The only camera sthat can be squirted directly is the front bumper cam and, indirectly, the one behind the windshield methinks. Really should have a squirter for the tailgate camera.
Have you found some washer fluids to be ineffective? Living in NJ I tend to stick with...
In nearly two years of real-world living with Cybertruck taking a half-dozen odd longer trips a year here's what I've noticed about DC FC - the truck is always ready to go before I and my passengers are. Not just most of the time, all of the time.
Ok, there was one time I was finished my...
You won't believe how many people have asked me over the nearly two years of owning Cybertruck about how I fill the washer fluid (and change the mega-wiper, stay tuned for that video). It's of course covered in the online owners manual, which not everyone reads, so here's a very, very brief...
Don't sleep on HW3 cars with the AMD chip. The Intel cars? meh. But the AMD ones are plenty capable.
Here is a quick example from my old 2021 Model S running FSD 12 a few years ago. Never saw this one coming.
If you're eligible for any state tax incentives, then new may be the way to go if HW4 and FSD matter to you (they don't for everyone).
I had a friend who recently purchased a 2019 Model 3 for his son in college across the country. Why? No worries for my friend about his son properly...
Pre-refresh Y is hard to beat.
I picked up a used 2023 Model Y Performance from Tesla and it was like-new inside and out. Had about all of the updates to the first-generation Y including the better suspension, padded door pockets, updated phone chargers, etc. and it was/is one heck of a...
Progress!
In reality, this will be a different version of the line from the 2019 unveiling with what should/could be a higher conversion rate. There were many problems with the original order queue, not the least of which (1) some orders were five years old, people moved on and bought other...
