Got in a crash, giga cast fractured (video)

Even in your financial situation, I would lean towards having them total it. That means the other driver's insurance company should pay your replacement cost. You may have to fight them to get enough to replace it with a like used vehicle in similar condition with similar mileage. I would think...

Has anyone RECEIVED a 2026 Cybertruck?

VINs are not sequential with build dates because the automaker has to request them in batches (and the VIN number encodes the vehicle's trim). Automakers like the ability to switch production to different trims at will so the VIN numbers can jump around a bit.

No-Drill Lower Bumper Grille insect/debris Cover Insert

If it has more surface area, that's probably a superior solution. I'm wary of anything that could reduce the ability of the thermal management system to quickly heat or cool components. Let that air flow!

Got in a crash, giga cast fractured (video)

I think that's only in the front and rear crumble zones. That was a pretty good sideways impact directly to the front wheel into the heart of the front frame.

Polished over 50 Cybertrucks and they look better and better each time

I tell them it costs *less* than a Ford F-150 Raptor and it's a far better value, especially with the much lower cost of operation.

Polished over 50 Cybertrucks and they look better and better each time

If it's difficult to get an even consistency when polishing to less than a full gloss, it's probably the machine or the pad/abrasives combo that's making it difficult. The action of the machine matters a lot, as does the consistency of the abrasives. Polishing to a mirror finish minimizes these...

FSD handled road debris like a boss!

I like the fact that it doesn't pussyfoot around, after pussyfooting around coming to the complete stop required by NHTSA! The recent update does help mitigate the dumb NHTSA stop a little by speeding it up, and then the faster takeoff is welcome too. I wouldn't worry about faster tire...

Polished over 50 Cybertrucks and they look better and better each time

My truck keeps getting a bunch of fine scratches because I continually get it muddy and take it bushwhacking on the trails. It still looks good in most light but the scratches definitely detract if the light is right. Here's an example of the kind of scratches I get and how I got into using...

Polished over 50 Cybertrucks and they look better and better each time

Do you use that on a rotary machine or a random orbit? I think the secret for a satin finish is a RO machine. Otherwise isn't it difficult to control the swirl marks? Metal polishing is such an art because it's about controlling the way the light reflects off all the microscopic scratches...

Cyber Bandit: The ultimate Cybertruck + Trans Am Wrap

I'm not usually a big fan of wrapping the stainless steel, but I've got to hand it to you, you created a unique look that is very cohesive! Well done!

Polished over 50 Cybertrucks and they look better and better each time

Out of the over 50 Cybertrucks you've polished, do most people bring you brand new ones or have some seen a lot of use (including off-road)? Have any of them had deep gouges in them when they were brought to you for polishing? I've never brought mine to a mirror polish but I did sand using...

Polished over 50 Cybertrucks and they look better and better each time

But, but, but, $TSLAQ told me reflections from the OEM Cybertruck's stainless steel finish was deadly to other motorists. This would have to kill even more people, no? Ha-ha, I kid! I had forgot about that false narrative being pushed hard after the Cybertruck was revealed.

FSD v14.3.2 just dropped with 2026.2.9.9 update

I was trying to remember if I had ever encountered a "STOP EXCEPT RIGHT TURN" sign in my nearly 50 years of driving and I couldn't recall ever seeing one so I did some research. It's often referred to as a "Pennsylvania quirk" although there are a handful of states that have them in rare...

Camping at Alamo Canyon, Organ Pipe Cactus Nat'l Monument, AZ

Does it improve upon the OEM fender cam by being higher resolution or by offering a different field of view or perhaps it's just always on without taking up space on the center screen? A combination of all three? It looks like half of the field of view is the side of your truck.

Decal for the back of the cybertruck

Why do you have to wait for "pride" to "get there"? Where I'm from, we've always had pride (in ourselves and others), at least when it was warranted.

FSD v14.3.2 just dropped with 2026.2.9.9 update

It seems we may have an epidemic of drama queens. People who take the smallest inconvenience, something barely worth mentioning, and try to turn it into something with far more significance than it ever possessed. It actually feels less organic and more like part of the larger movement to slow...

I just got a speeding ticket in FSD Hurry Mode for 9 miles over.

Of course not, I'm simply using common sense and recognizing what Tesla has already told us. I find it astonishing the level of entitlement some people display. The way some people think they have purchased the right to direct the details of how the system is developed, ignoring the obvious fact...

I just got a speeding ticket in FSD Hurry Mode for 9 miles over.

The purpose of automation in general is to reduce workload. However, Elon has long made it clear that FSD Supervised is simply the necessary stepping stone to the primary goal of Unsupervised FSD, all users of FSD Supervised are helping to train the system so it can reach Unsupervised. Those who...

    CCS Failure Question / Discussion

Obviously, Tesla would design the way the AC charging works with peak efficiency as a top priority. Unless there is something unusual about the hardware that makes it more efficient to engage all MOSFETs, even at very low charge amperages, I would expect the highest efficiency would result from...
