They did say explicitly āmany countriesā and ācertificationā. As mentioned I am most likely reading too much into it, and they are just using those words for abstract hype. Still, they caught me as interesting phrases to use.
Tesla recently said they are testing Cybertruck vehicles around the world for final certification and validation. I am most certainly reading too much into that quote, but it struck me as a bit odd at the time and perhaps could get your thoughts.
Is there any reason that certification would...
Elon did actually mention HVAC in the vault in some Tweet but I canāt be bothered digging it up right now so you just need to trust the memory of someone you donāt know on the Internet.
Interestingly I can't make out the front aero wheel flaps in these pictures. That might be because the pictures are too fuzzy (I guess that would be the most likely reason) or it could be because they want to test driving through snowdrifts where those flaps would be a bit of a hindrance?
The...
I wonder if these are going to be difficult for Tesla to get the panel alignment right on. The bonnet has a pretty big gap towards the rear edge and thereās little alignment things everywhere. Some probably donāt matter, others Iām not so sure.
Anyone able to bring in some chickens to measure...
Probably the door is a bit open. But then it also doesnāt quite align with the front door, and the bottom of the front door seems a bit misaligned with the top, and the front fender is showing pretty big gaps at the top.
The climate system is pretty effective though. Itās frequently enough to turn it on just before throwing on some shoes and stuff before heading out the door.
The size thing for me is primarily about practicality, fitting into car parks and parking halls, rather than any concern for garaging it.
Or preparation for HVAC into the vault? There was some talk from Elon about that being a possibility (and would be nice for camping or even transporting animals and stuff).
Or perhaps a bigger unit would give better cold weather efficiency?
For clarity, I was talking about at home :)
Though Iām perfectly happy flicking them on manually in a car too. Definitely not a deciding feature for me.
Having a stubby nose and placing the driver closer to it is better for offroad driving too. But I felt it prudent to point out these photos arenāt as good a comparison as you might think. The latter one doesnāt show the front lights at all, meaning the angle is such that they are hidden, meaning...
Iām with you. I really donāt need a smart home turning lights on for me when I can execute the horrendous task of flicking a light switch.
I find motorised boot openings annoying (at least if they donāt have some foot sensor) as they are slower than a manual opening, so if you have to hit some...
If youāve been following things you will nonetheless notice Tesla has been careful not to show it. Franz explicitly asked for someone with a camera not to film in and none of the links, bar one, have shown much of it at all (that one showed that the beta build had fold up seats).
I hope this helps to put some of the concerns for wiper coverage to rest. You can clearly see the arc of the wiper and how it related to the actual windscreen part of the glass (below the darkened portion). There is a triangle left untouched in the top left on the passenger side, but this...
You really think that is unintentional? I strongly believe the vast majority of so-called leaks have been suitably agreed on. They all coincidentally end up not showing the things that Tesla seems keen to hide for now (rear seat in particular).
Not that Iām complaining. Coordinated leaks are...
