The Positive, Argument Free Cybertruck Thread

You forgot awesome sound system and dog mode.

Is wrapping our only option? Patina

In all fairness, if you publicly say there is significant corrosion that you saw, you need to post pics, or we are just going to assume you might be mistaken, because stainless by nature is fairly corrosion resistant. You said it's a friend's Cybertruck, so could you please either get back...

10,000+ Miles Driving a Cybertruck – Things learned: range, great sound and full love/hate list after 10k miles

Not saying you can't get a "nicer one" but the new single motor variant has only 272 miles of range, and takes a yawning 5.8 seconds to get 60 MPH. Your two 2018 SWD LR model 3s do 0-60 in 5 seconds (or less) and have way better range.... Here we are 5 years later and, for the single motor...

10,000+ Miles Driving a Cybertruck – Things learned: range, great sound and full love/hate list after 10k miles

You are generally correct, however it deserves to be said that the first Model 3 Tesla ever sold, the M3 LR RWD, was likely the best single motor M3 they ever made. So not everything gets better with time.

10,000+ Miles Driving a Cybertruck – Things learned: range, great sound and full love/hate list after 10k miles

No big deal as long has you have room in your fuse box.... just install a second NEMA 14-50 plug and it will all work out.

10,000+ Miles Driving a Cybertruck – Things learned: range, great sound and full love/hate list after 10k miles

164 miles, for 80% of the battery on their AWD, means they would have only got <150 miles if they had the CB, on the same 80%. That's crazy. Still want it though because of the awesome sound system! I'll just have to remember to plug it in every single day.... probably not that much worse...

Beast better than AWD, change my mind

Agree!!! Plenty fast enough for a truck.

    Cybertruck Corrosion (per Owner Manual)

Kinda feel like if you are really worried about keeping up the "clean-car-look", you either need to wrap it, or you'll likely go insane trying to keep it fingerprint and smudge free. You almost just need to be willing to embrace the HFS exterior, for what it is, and have a "don't worry/be...

My Cybertruck is Delivered Today January 11!! (non-employee) 👍 First Impressions + Photos 📸

Yes. All vehicles, with these stickers attached, will become FS and be worth an additional $20K, so maybe they are worth it..

    Cybertruck Corrosion (per Owner Manual)

If money and potentially creating hazardous waste was not an issue (yes, they are, I know, that's the point), Tesla would probably go a step further and passivate/pickle the stainless steel parts with either citric acid, or nitric acid, or even a nitric & hydrofluoric acid combination, which...

Towing tested with 6,000lb Tesla and trailer load

With all due respect, IMHO I don't think the 13-gallon fuel tank on an ICE truck is a very fair comparison, for towing practicality, compared to the battery powered Cybertruck. #1 - Not sure many folks would buy an ICE work truck, with any kind of serious towing in mind, with just a 13-gallon...

In 4 years how much more value will the Foundation Series have over normal?

I like the way you think. You may not be wrong..... of course it might also depend on which model you buy (FS or non-FS), AWD or Beast, and if the original purchaser also is able to take advantage of an available government rebate. One major factor could be that, unless Tesla lifts their...

Beast better than AWD, change my mind

Remember when I was in high school, in the early 80's, people talked about the Porsche 911 Turbo, that did 0-60 on 5.0 Seconds, as well as the 944 Turbo that did it in 6.0 Seconds. Either one of those was the dream! I thought my very early M3 long range, which did 0-60 in about 5 seconds was...

DIY Cybertruck Vinyl Wrap Kit by Tesbros -- $1500+

I'm probably going to wait a while then get a professional to install PPF. Wound not get a factory wrap due to being worried that Tesla will install the factory wraps on the ones that come off the line with minor blemishes on the HFS.

Calculate how much Payload your CyberTruck can carry. It's not 2,500lbs.

How do you figure the weight ON the hitch does not get added in to the max total payload? If anything it's more relevant bucause the weight is further away from the rear axle, making a fulcrum. It seems you are suggesting you can load up 2,500 total pounds, and then you are better off after...
