I definitely wouldāve chosen Tactical Grey if it were an option. White in a truck for our family is impractical and antithetical for our often-dirty adventure lifestyle plus kids. Was SO relieved they didnāt do white seats along with white wraparound, would have been a deal-breaker.
I agree with...
I used Baja mode this winter for drifting/donuts in my AWD, was a blast, eminently controllable. Loved the slider to control bias front/rear. Psyched for the improvements in the new update!
You're ignoring some use-cases beyond your own, including mine.
I've long used UMC w/14-50R with relatively efficient MS and MX, but now a more power-hungry Rivian Max + Cybertruck to charge and we've moved to a TOU/Net-metering plan so need the faster charging speeds to charge off-peak and...
Any SLC/Utah owners begin your PowerShare process yet? Which installer were you referred to, how was/is the experience so far? Cost estimates? @DumpsterFire any experience with this since you were early delivery?
Iāve received an estimate from the installer Tesla assigned to me, not impressed...
Hey Jared Iām around the corner from Clayton MS, great to hear thereās another one in the neighborhood! Guess itās you, me, and @DumpsterFire around here, not sure if any other CTOC lurkers in our neighborhood of SLC?
Sorry I didnāt see your plea for weekend delivery financing earlier...
Hmmmā¦I wonder if mine is down there, (but I donāt even have a VIN yet)!?
I was a first-minute Rez during the initial reveal, multiple owner/shareholder/referrals. I noticed silent invite hiding in my App 12/15 late-night, invite disappeared overnight and returned 12/19, ordered FS DM AWD. So...
Ok so you have the physics equations, now do the calculation for two scenarios:
1) round trip energy in the car with accel/regen behavior to maintain constant speed, with heat losses during accel and regeb
2) a fluctuating speed that is lower than constant when ascending, higher than constant...
Youāre both correct and incorrect on this one; in city driving @HaulingAss is correct. For freeway driving, @Eddyrelik ās query is the correct answer to better efficiency (but not necessarily stress-free driving!)
Sorry youāre incorrect, and I suspect your error is assuming that regen energy = 100% recovered. Itās significantly lossy to covert kinetic to stored electricity.
When you allow the car to coast up to its terminal drag velocity (ignoring speed limits for arguments sake.), your car will travel...
āCoastā method described by other posters in this thread is more efficient because of heat losses under acceleration and regen. So if you lose ~5% under throttle and lose ~5% under regen youāve lost 10% to heat/friction etc for the round trip of that energy. Thereās no such thing as a perpetual...
Fair point in the electrician, but why wouldnāt you install a 14-50R before the truck arrives, while youāre waiting for Tesla installer to install Gateway/Wall Charger? Iāve used 14-50R in my homes for ~7 yrs. And if you receive the truck but have to wait for the PowerShare hardware, then why...
