Tinker, people who pre-ordered don't care about any of those reasons you listed. They pre-ordered at a certain price, they expect delivery at that certain price. Tesla has the rest of the Cybertruck production run to raise prices, but they need to honor their pricing on existing pre-orders.
Bears can smell a tire up to a mile away. They train their young from birth to attack and destroy all tires on sight. If you even THINK of driving a car with tires into bear country, you'd better think again.
Here's video of two bears fighting for the honor of eliminating their most vicious...
The tri-motor is not the Plaid, so whatever fancy features they're planning on tacking on to the Plaid don't have to go on the tri-motor, so that's an easy way to keep costs down. Three motors, enough batteries, and it can be as barebones as the single motor other than that.
You make it sound so elegant. So far I haven’t seen anyone use the yoke that way. This is the most positive video review I could find so far, and it’s not pretty.
I love the energy in this thread. Tesla honors their prices, so if you got a pre-order in before they removed the pricing, you'll be grandfathered in to the price you reserved at.
Again, this isn't a matter of personal preference. This is a matter of a tool failing at it's primary job. But yes let's see what other people who have driven it think.
Motor Trend: (Check out the video of them steering.)
Consumer Reports:
The fact there are replacement steering wheels...
It’s not a matter of getting used to anything, it’s a matter of using the wrong tool for the job. They’re “fixing something that ain’t broke,” and in doing so they’re making it worse and potentially dangerous.
Hand over hand steering, something we all do every time we make a 90 degree turn, is...
It comes in any color you want! As long as that color is ultra-hard 30X cold-rolled stainless steel.
I’m sure there will be wraps for it after it comes out, but I’ve heard concerns of how wrapping it might damage the steel.
I think this is a great policy. It prevents artificial scarcity from developing from scalpers and resellers. It prevents wasteful middlemen and keeps prices down for everyone. I hope they can fix their dealer markup problem.
This is basically the opposite of what everyone who is promoting a Cybertruck price increase is doing, to everyone's detriment. Not a single soul wants to pay more for anything, yet I've seen too many posts about "Oh, $80k MINIMUM!" and "Ha! Good luck getting in under $100k!!" It's more than a...
This is a classic case of disconnected corporate goons valuing form over function. The yoke, without steer by wire and/or speed dependent turning curve, is a safety hazard. And no physical blinkers? No physical horn? No physical shifter? They took something most American's can operate...
Tesla said they’d sell a $39.9k truck, so Tesla will sell a $39.9k truck. Not everyone needs a 4x4, 5 second 0-60, 12,000 pound towing monster truck, most people just need a simple work truck that will haul a crew and some cargo from point A to point B. It would be a shoe-in for farmers...
