Hi Jack,
Thanks for your idea! We'd love to know more and looks like the attachment you shared wasn't available. Mind sending the picture to us at [email protected]?
We're developing a rack accessories that levels the mounting surface but unsure if that's exactly what you're referring to...
Hey Ken!
Yes, this is indeed an epic fail and mistake on our end (we also have some products offering in Europe and hence the problem). This is a problem with our supply chain team and shouldn't have happened. We sincerely apologize!
We've got in touch with Ken already and a new one has been...
Great question! As we mentioned on our website - we've found near zero impact on range. We've designed the leading edge of the rack to have an aero blade shape and also sits sub-flush to the windshield to help with aero. We've also noticed almost no increase in wind noises.
We're trying to do a...
sorry for the confusion! This rack has a mixed of both materials. Please use our website for the most accurate description - all-aluminum crossbars with steel side panels. The base connectors to mount the rack to vehicle is also 6061 aluminum.
Btw... we asked our engineer to stand on it. He's about 180 lbs before dinner. The racks are rated for up to 120kg/265lbs (distributed over four attachment points).
However, we recommend that you put no more than 100kg on the rack based on Tesla's instruction for any roof mounting system.
Hello folks,
After numerous design refinements, we are thrilled to introduce the MARS™ EXPEDITION RACK for your Tesla Cybertruck, designed to maximize mounting possibilities. This system transforms your Cybertruck’s rooftop into a perfectly level platform. Constructed from steel with a...
Great question! Here's the answer from our engineer:
The short answer is it's almost a plane, but not quite. The delta in Z is very minimal but the truth is you cannot fabricate a flat glass (hence the glass canopy is at a curve). However, the z-delta is so minimal that we basically treat all 4...
That's an interesting point. We've tried with Kayak but not a Canoe.
Maybe the solution is our https://www.marsag.co/shop/p/mars-expedition-rack ? We're working on the second half so it can support longer items such as a Canoe.
Oops looks like we need to update the listing with more pictures!!
They cover the hole entirely and you can't see them when installed. And you're exactly right, there is an indented gap between base of the connector and the plastic exterior trim piece for several reasons:
when parts bolt...
100% - we debated hard and long internally on the adjustable mechanisms (no gonna lie, it's actually cheaper for us since you just need to fabricate & stock up 1 size instead of 4) but we decided it was a better idea structurally.
Looking at some well-known accessories makers out there for...
Oh man, looks like we made it too confusing. Apologies!
It's 2 bar for $500 (we sell as a pair). However, you can customize it however you want. We've got people ordering bar 1 & 4, bar 1 & 2 & 4 .... and each cost $250.
Feel free to send us an email [email protected] - we can provide a discount if you're just getting the crossbar connectors but not the bars themselves.
Us too!
Totally understood - the good thing our products are shipping by the end of this month. We feel like it's close enough of a shipping date for us to come out of stealth!
Due to high demand, we have sold out our first batch of production as of June 10. All orders placed after will have an estimated shipping time of July 15 - 20. Apologies for the inconvenience and appreciate your support! Any questions, feel free to contact us at [email protected]
Hello guys...
Thanks - it goes without saying that if you're not happy with it, send it back anytime within 15 days of purchase (or we can send out a couple engineers to grind down these ridges in the truck bed for ya).
We gave out a free used set because he was specifically requesting a thicker air mattress which we're developing right now.
Unfortunately we don't have used ones anymore - if you're in a similar situation and wanted to buy a second set just to have a thicker mattress, feel free to DM us. We can...
in our test (camping in NorCal in March, 32F outside temp), the air mattress held pressure over night well. We did not notice any pressure drop or reduction in mattress firmness.
Sorry for not explaining clearly - the electric air pump is only used for inflating/deflating it (not continuously plugged in). Once inflated, you can unplug it and put it away until you need to deflate the air mattress. Once the air mattress is inflated to the pressure level desired, it will...
wow, this is why we love this forum - thanks for your feedbacks! We're already asking supply chain to look into thicker options. Right now we're aiming to increase it to 4 inches for the next batch of production.
We have tested the mattress in 32F temperature (unfortunately this is as cold it...
