Wow… 50+ PCS failures… that is shocking… this is not a small sample. I know it is relative to “every ct sold” but damn, one part in isolation failing this much in such a small group… genuinely curious what the actual number of failures has been.
No, the old ones pop right off when lifted, the new ones snap right in place. No fasteners needed. The purchase includes shipping to SC of your choice and install though.
Interesting. Mine was replaced with
48AMP(1777777-12-E)
back in April 2025. Maybe they updated the part? Wonder if E revisions were failing too, necessitating a subsequent F, then now G? Who knows…
The EV pickup truck was a bold move any way you look at it.
Tesla is very well known for shooting for the moon and ultimately just building a space station instead.
The CT they build now is not the truck they advertised in 2019. It does some things REALLY well. It does other things that most...
I was driving home from work last night *on FSD* and experienced this. It was going through an intersection at almost 40 mph, a car about 2 car lengths behind me. The light was flashing red for me, flashing yellow for the other side, right when the truck hit the intersection it suddenly slammed...
In isolation, no. But in combination with the other errors, something linking all of those systems along the 48v system is causing the faults. Could potentially trace back to the PCS.
watching thread for sure
Ai says basically it could be from a number of things- essentially those systems are detecting instability in their power supply and throwing the critical faults. These should be priority for service evaluation. If this is the 3rd time this has been repaired, most states consider that a lemon...
The highest out of pocket price ive seen is around $7600. Others have reported less. This is not a component that is supposed to fail. It is not supposed to “wear out”. Its failing either because it was defectively manufactured (more likely) or defectively engineered.
