Scratches on glass door panel (on just delivered Cybertruck)

Probably once leases start ending and more trade ins occur. The thing is, Tesla doesn't put a lot of stock into their used cars as they parasite new car sales. They price them high, give them a 1 year/10,000 mile warranty and do almost no repair or maintenance to them before remarketing them...

How many have had PCS malfunction/failure?

Correct. Whats even more wild is that since September 2025, Tesla now includes a 7 year/70k mile “high priced propulsion parts” warranty that includes the PCS on EVERY OTHER VEHICLE 2026+ EXCEPT FOR THE CT.

Scratches on glass door panel (on just delivered Cybertruck)

Yeah, if you noticed at delivery you could have pointed it out to them and they would document it. if after the fact, you go to service in the app, find the relevant section and describe what your concerns are. Be VERY careful with your wording as your comments are kept on the service record...

How many have had PCS malfunction/failure?

Tesla can do remote diagnostics. Usually they run a high voltage test for charging issues and a low voltage test for other issues like lights or doors. Worth asking. They may charge you for it without clear findings

How many have had PCS malfunction/failure?

I think if something fails and its replaced under warranty and fails again, it still falls under a warranty repair. Im sure if its lik 15 years later they wouldn't but if it fails a year or 2 later, or 10,000 miles later id think there would be a pretty good reason to ask for it

How many have had PCS malfunction/failure?

In some cases people have been able to charge. I guess this lends more to the idea they may be failing in different ways

Scratches on glass door panel (on just delivered Cybertruck)

Easy to replace. Not sure the cost as it includes a heated camera unit. Single bolt and weather striping if im correct. User has to remove to plug in the offroad light bar, so tons of videos on how to do it. You could probably order the part from tesla part catalogue. Worth asking if they will...

Scratches on glass door panel (on just delivered Cybertruck)

You can ask, but there have been reports of them selling demos “as is” and refusing to repair existing damage from obvious offloading, etc. you never know, depends on what kind of mood your service center is in and how generous they are feeling.

How many have had PCS malfunction/failure?

The power conversion system module is the unit that converts the 800V battery (the big drive battery) down to 48v for the rest of the vehicle to use (doors, windows, lights, infotainment, power steering) . It is indeed critical for power share (powering a house) as well as charging without it...

How many have had PCS malfunction/failure?

To be fair- this is not an accurate statistic. Only 67 people have responded. This is an extraordinarily small number of people compared to the number of owners, let alone forum users. only Tesla knows the true failure rate of the Power Conversion System Module in the CT to me, its more the...

How many have had PCS malfunction/failure?

Reply to poll. I consider a failure ANY confirmed PCS issue that ultimately required replacement of the PCS module. if failure occurred outside of warranty, please post how much you paid for replacement. It seems to vary quite a bit for some reason. post vin range and year if you want.
