I'm in North East Ohio with no existing infrastructure for an EV. Total install price was 3,500. That price seems horrifically overpriced.

Def. respect your effort in figuring out how to be remote and keep the truck alive. This is something those of who will be using the truck in remote areas need to figure out without the range extender being available yet.........even then, what will the true total range be.

I just got mine back from the service center last week for a vault divider not working and rear rattle. They were not doing either recall at all to any CTs in North East Ohio as of yet. No inventory. Also didn't get the new wheel covers as well.

Maybe, maybe not. I could do away with the underbed storage bin area for extra room for the under the bed spare tire. This would make the truck more useful as a work truck.... like the millions of others out there.

I hear ya. I forget the exact wording on the upgrade, but the battery extender was not guaranteed for 15k. For the large non-refundable deposit, I was hesitant. Need more details on actual range, actual concrete price, etc. Ditto to your comment too. Maybe the existing battery can be replaced...

I read somewhere that it was Model Ys with HW 3 or 4 (to my defense, I'm 2 IPA beers in) only initially. Once that was verified, it would start to expand more globally.

Same here, don't drive all that much. 60% is ample for me with a decent buffer.

Guylouis - dude! Thanks for your response on this thread w/ photos. I had to call Tesla yesterday for a powershare issue and something got borked (technical term there); on top of that - support was shut today. My truck simply would not charge with the universal charger, only the 120v generic...

The only way to get used to trauma, is to repeated enough it doesn't bother (or I guess the rest of the family in this case). :) Truck still gets a ton of positive attention and I'd say a true hater 1-2x a week.
