IMO, the $60k SAWD is a bargain. For the relatively minor differences between a SAWD and PAWD, $20k is a lot. If I had confirmation of my buyback sooner, a $60k SAWD was still available, and a SAWD wasn't pushed out until '27, I might have opted for it instead of ordering another PAWD.
Still showing 3.99% in my order. However, IIRC thatās only good for 30-days. If delivery is past that, it reassesses to rates offered at that time.
EDIT: 30-60 days
Iām guessing you already have a VIN assigned and thatās why itās telling you your CT is in production and there is a sooner delivery window.

A lot of minor issues that I could live with. However, recent motor noise issue was unacceptable and Tesla couldnāt correct it. Worse yet, there are signs of a half-ass repair job last time it was in for a motor swap. So, I opted for a buy back.

Calculation is based on miles when issue is first reported. So I'm guessing they used ~4.7k miles for his situation. Mine was calculated at 9.8k miles. Currently at 12.2k.
I'm not an expert, but this is my understanding. In CA, options for resolution are:
Buy back (full reimbursement - deductions)
Partial reimbursement and owner keeps the vehicle
Vehicle replacement
However, I haven't come across a case where someone was partially reimbursed or had a vehicle...
In the process of a buy back for my current CT. (Tangent ... this buy back process is taking forever!) On the fence about when to order a replacement. Main concern, relating to the buy back, is that I'd want the next CT to have a rev-G or later front motor. EPC shows a rev-G, but my CT received...
