Feb delivery AWD, 10k miles, originally 318, 317 miles @100% yesterday. Just did a 1,200 mile road trip where I drove very chill. Seemed to improve the predicted range even if Tesla says driving habit will not change the predicted range. A solid mix of home charging and supercharger use.
That would have been an awesome addition in our last road trip from San Diego to Mammoth, June lake, Lake Tahoe, and Yosemite. We used the trunk for our clothes, but food storage would have been better in Bear country.
Interesting. There were two guys here during our three-hour installation. One pretty much did all the work while the other guy watched and made labels for the new panel. Not hard at all if you know what you are doing. I was that annoying homeowner who watched the entire thing.
Our installation has the power share connected to a 100Amp breaker in the main panel. re We moved ten circuits from the main panel over to the power share panel (The truck takes two breakers.) The truck can only provide <60AMP so we chose not to run any major equipment like pool pumps or ACs. We...
As a "dumb" FS owner I don't regret it for a second. I had to drive a Model S yesterday and was appalled at how boring it is (super fun car, but no CT.)
This is a problem of diminishing returns. The bigger the battery, the heavier the ride. It takes energy to move more weight. Airplanes are susceptible to this every time they take off.
I was originally disappointed in the CT range and envious of the Silverado. That stopped once I realized how...
My AWD early vin (February) is in for service for the various recalls. The service center had not heard for the drive unit replacement at all. Not for me or any other CT. SoCal if it matters.
Thanks for your reply and the excellent write-up of your trip. It's good to see people using their trucks and how it performs.
It's just my wife, 150lbs dog and me and our goal is to get as far away from crowds as possible. Off-grid convenience is more important (to us) than size. Not looking...
No, it's an old dog ramp. Sorry , don't remember the brand. It holds my 150 lbs Cane Corso, and used to hold a 165 lbs Bull mastiff (and me, slightly heavier.)
Ps that's a cheap truck tent from Amazon. Less than $70.
